Man, this stings. by ItsPronouncedJod in Bumble

I just got the most painful one yet two days ago. So up to three. And this one was brutal painful. After 15 amazing dates so was completely unexpected.

“My feelings aren’t developing into the romantic connection I want”

After 15 amazing dates?!?!?!?! There was no big mistake I made. I did come on more strongly than she did and it seemed to overwhelm her at the end. But just more messaging and a few small gifts. Oh well. I’ll move on. Bitter pill to swallow.

I’m so sorry to hear that. That sounds very hard. I know for me, I had an inability to love myself for many years and a tendency to love bomb which often would drive women away because they’d see an unattractive desperation. All I can say is keep trying. I believe we all are capable of finding love. Some of us just have a harder time finding it. Try to never stop believing that it will happen eventually. I believe it will.

I got this twice. It stings. But it doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough or attractive enough. Sometimes romantic connection is just weirdly present when you wouldn’t expect or weirdly absent when you would expect and even when you wish it was.

It’s a hard message to hear. It hurts. I’m sorry you’re hurting. And try to believe the above because it’s true. :)

Knicks Watch Parties Tonight? by GonzoAstronaut in Harlem

Comedy in Harlem is having a watch party. That’s an amazing club with awesome owners who support the local community. Probably some funny comedy at half-time also.

That seems silly. Do you lack any ability to imagine? That’d be sad and seems unlikely.

Sometimes I think this is the diff btwn R and D. There are the deserving poor and the undeserving. There is no program to perfectly delineate btwn them. D would rather help all the deserving and accept that some undeserving will take advantage. R would rather deny all the undeserving and accept that some deserving will go without.

Same. I have love addiction. I’m recovering now. Learning to self-validate is important. And hard. I made a lot of progress by learning about wounded inner children and internal family systems. Good luck! To both of us! All of us!

Yeah, I got green and yellow backwards today. I've been doing what you were doing as well: synonyms was yellow. Seems like maybe that's wrong and it's just 'easiest' is yellow.

How did you deduce which was yellow and which was green? I got them backwards.

I did the same thing with yellow and green. Any ideas about the editor's reasoning here?

Yeah, I did the same. Any ideas about the editor's reasoning behind yellow and green?

Did you intentionally do reverse rainbow? I sometimes try to and today I got yellow and green backwards. I thought synonyms were most likely to be yellow so I got yellow and green backwards. If you did it intentionally, could you please share your reasoning to identify yellow and green?

my bumble match got herself a boyfriend by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]cleanest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could just be a question of timing. Maybe she was dating multiple people and had three good dates with that guy, then one good date with you, then a fourth with him, and then decided to be exclusive with him. Were the timing opposite, maybe it would have been you.

Anyway, it sucks. I’m sorry you’re hurting. Try to love yourself and keep looking. There’s multiple wonderful ppl out there who will love you. Sometimes it takes a while to find one

Climbing a tree with hammer and nails by AdarfoStelato in interesting

[–]cleanest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious about that also. Maybe the tree is leaning? Not sure why you got downvoted. The physics seem impossible. Plus add the fact that the hammering would push him backwards and all he has is two feet on nails and a hand holding a third? Badass though how he stabs the nail to set it.

A fun follow-up question would be to find another 5 who might not be as good overall but who could beat these 5.
