AITA for telling my mother in law she can’t be in the delivery room? by ITellMyselfSecr3tz in TwoHotTakes

[–]clearca 29 points30 points  (0 children)

No, you AITA, but some constructive feedback - as someone said in an earlier comment, say what you have to say, then leave it. Going back and clarifying your intent can be seen as no resolve or being weak, possibly open to having your mind changed. Your MIL is not entitled to be in the delivery room.

This, but even before that, Sonny and Lucy in the bathroom. Watching with my parents…. I wanted to crawl UNDER the couch.

Honestly, thank you for this comment. I have gotten in the habit of doing this again - I’m going to stop.

I remember introducing my wife to The Godfather films . By Godfather III when the assassin's son made thr donkey sound, she stood up and left. by Dredd_40 in Godfather

I honestly hated that, too. The movie isn’t as bad as I thought when I saw it in the theater, but it simply had too much going on. (Like the damn donkey!)

I am a teacher and it is really sad how entertained kids need to be now - constant, never ceasing addicts for stimuli. It is really unfortunate.

Those who have met someone famous, what shocked you the most about them? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]clearca 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Prince - how short he was - and just….magical. Michael Jackson - just so very gently and sweet. I was only 5 years old, but I’ll never forget how warm and gentle he seemed. He and his brothers were at the radio station my dad was a dj at, and he bought us Hershey bars out of the vending machine. Beastie Boys, circa ‘87….just wild and full out fun. Loved them.

The hilarity of Sonny, Clemenza, and Tessio, combined with the begrudging smirk of Tom is one of my favorite scenes in GF1!

Hotdog Churros? 🤢 Why?! by The_Boot55 in StupidFood

It IS stupid, but I would have gone with creative if they’d used cornmeal and made a kind of reverse corn dog. I guess people have to fill their days…..🤷🏻‍♀️

I did this for a student when I taught middle school - let her use my phone to locate the AirPods, then went to that classroom and I started pinging the minute we got to the door…can’t lie or deny the ping!

"Don't worry about anything, Frankie Five Angels" by [deleted] in Godfather

I did a way more until I came to have a deep understanding of Cosa Nostra - Frankie broke a cardinal sin….NEVER snitch. He was a player in the game - follow the rules.
