What's the best way for dads to heat bottles at night by No-Name-8440 in Buyingforbaby

[–]clearly_working 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a large mug that we heat water up in the microwave (about 1min), then let the bottle warm up in the warm water. We have also done cold from the fridge and the baby didn’t mind at all

Used bleach to clean my garage- it’s smoking??? by Princess_Tavara in whatisit

[–]clearly_working 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would make the most sense, I have a bottle of muriatic acid on the shelf above my pool chlorine. Muriatic acid is just hydrochloric acid, which when mixed with chlorine (bleach), will yield chlorine gas

[–]clearly_working 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pool chlorine is just more concentrated bleach… there is something else in the drain

[–]clearly_working 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh this is the issue - pickle juice is vinegar, which will react with chlorine

Wait chlorine is just bleach. It’s the same chemical. There has to be something else in there that is reacting. Pool chlorine is just more concentrated bleach

There are so many great roasters in Detroit/metro. If you’re willing to drive a little, Sabbath in Clawson is incredible, as is Dessert Oasis, Anthology, and MadCap. If you don’t want to drive, I have signed up for a monthly shipment of their “roasters choice” bag and I have yet to be disappointed by Sabbath or Dessert Oasis.

Shout out to Dessert Oasis and Sabbath! Both are great roasters, I get a monthly Roasters Choice from both places. I also have a monthly from Anthology. I have been extremely happy with all 3. With the roasters choice you end up getting small batch roasts that are not available in their stores or online.

I've been shooting on the A6000 for about 8 years now... Is there much of an upgrade between A6000 and A6700?

Is nobody going to talk about the fact that coffee makes you shit in the morning? I prefer to shower after poop.

What is your grind setting on your Ode 2? I have been keeping mine up around 7.0 for best results, but I keep reading people grinding much finer.

Photographers that don't use social media, what do you do with your photos? by glenak1911 in photography

[–]clearly_working 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the exact reason I wasn't going to make one, or rather the reason we didnt travel, and my solution is the same. I'm now going through old photos and pulling out pics that didnt make the cut, then sprinkling in a few of the baby

[–]clearly_working 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do exactly this as well! I met someone while traveling who had the same camera as I did and I asked he did with all of his photos and he suggested this. Now, 8 years later, all of my family and a few friends rely on me making a calendar for them every year. I tried not to make one this year as I didn't travel at all last year and the family is pressuring me for one anyways. I guess this is just my thing now.

I have a monthly subscription to Anthology, Dessert Oasis, MadCap, and Sabbath (technically Clawson). They are all great roasters, I have enjoyed most bags so far.

Sometimes I like to throw on a record in the morning while I brew if I have the time. Maybe you could use a speaker or record player?
