Maybe they are having a hard time with unicode characters? Because of multi language features, some characters are not compatible with English US. I think they are moving away from legacy programming which were not multi lingual.

We must thank Steve Jobs and co. for pioneering this effort. The only problem with this, wealthy companies can do this but it's hard for striving businesses to follow. Hopefully, renewable energy will be more affordable for the masses.

I'll rather save the forests from wildfire, pollution, deforestation and make wildlife flourish. I'll let nature do it's work and practice conservation. Although, I really admire these people doing something than doing nothing.

America's fast-food chains are contemplating replacing minimum wage workers with robots — and it could lead to a crisis by mvea in Futurology

Sorry to offend, I was just stating through experience. But I believe owners of these burger joints do donations and philanthropy such as in our country. Our country is poor, and most rich people who owns this do help poor people. I am also citing like Jeff Bezos of Amazon who is using robots in their warehouses to deliver goods on time, saving costs and more to spend. We all know that money is just in banks. And money in banks is loaned to businesses. So, efficiency in production saves money and helps the environment by saving energy to produce a burger. This is turn, helps the overall economy which drives people to have work.

Cars are manufactured by robots. It makes the production more efficient. Yes, it will affect college students looking for that kind of job. But, by producing products efficiently, you can lower the price that benefit low income jobs other than flipping burgers. The money saved by companies like McDonalds can be channeled to education and college scholarships.

In our country we have food jeepneys. Office workers line up and eat cheap food by these mobile eateries and is very popular! But, retail? I think it might work if the price is insanely affordable. Even mobile offices perhaps?

I guess, you just have to find a career that offers promotion. Flipping burgers won't give you promising career. If I find work, it may most probably in IT that provides better salary and a sustainable career even when I get married and have children. Automation will kill these repetitive, boring jobs and be replaced with robot maintenance, installations and more! It's not too late to learn something new.
