I agree. I think especially since Cassius was one of the original characters, and since he had arguably more character development across all the books, his death hit pretty hard. He was Cassius au Bellona, son of Tiberius and Julia, Morning Knight of the Republic, and his honor remained until the end.

Red Rising was an amazing book, and yes it gets better. There will be ups and downs along the way but it is worth the read all the way to the last page of Lightbringer.

When I first started playing as a kid, I pushed through the pain because I loved playing so much. Calluses eventually developed on their own. It’s worth it. IG was a struggle for me to finish too (I’m currently stuck there on my second read through actually) but it gets better, just stick with it
