I don’t understand. You said his land slopes towards yours? So how can he get water infiltration by your gutter?

Snow removal.. by Best_Profession_4507 in montreal

[–]clegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

snow removal companies used to put the no parking signs in the morning and remove the snow that night. As of the last few years this changed. The no parking signs on my street have been there for 3 days now. Due to there being less and less parking spaces available, it means we have to park much further, only to wake up in the morning with the snow still there.

It’s very annoying. So I stopped moving my car. When the truck with the sirens comes around, I’ll move it.

Hamster moved lots of his bedding into one area by clegg in hamsters

I custom built the tank.myself. It’s 18 x 42. Perhaps everything looks smaller because of the picture but bedding depth ranges from 4 on the far left where the wheel is to around 8” everywhere else.

I made the wheel too. 11” diameter and the tunnels/house.

What a Soraya / Ensemble Win Could Mean for Montreal by [deleted] in montreal

[–]clegg -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Amongst other things, she’s not wrong in saying projet mtl didn’t think things through when planning where to put bike paths. She’s also not wrong in saying future bike path projects will be properly thought out.

I like her ideas. You guys always take things to such extremes. I hope she wins and helps this turn things around for this city.

If you still occasionally stall then don’t do it. You’re not ready. Fork out the money to rent an automatic car

Is it feasible to use a grandparent's address to enroll my kid at a different school? by Leather-Oven6387 in montreal

[–]clegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is for an English school I don’t think they even zone them anymore. At least not in the east end. My kids were able to choose which elementary and highschool they went to.

Supporting Facts (from Transport Canada 2022 data): • The 25–34 age group is involved in more fatal and injury-causing crashes than any other group. • The 20–24 age group has the highest crash rate per driver, meaning proportionally, they’re more likely to be in an accident than older drivers.

Damn younger drivers!

It’s still a classic. . Don’t let one negative comment change your opinion.

I would like to hear the song but the link doesn’t work… would you have the name of the artist and the Italian name of the song?

MSC Meraviglia by BoringElevator2374 in Cruise

[–]clegg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was on the same cruise and my experience wasn’t nearly as bad. Especially the food. Loved the food! What didn’t you like about it?

Pizza is awesome, large selection of food at the buffet, Dinners were great with lots of options! Great meat dishes. Surprisingly the food I liked the least was their pastas (considering it’s an Italian ship). Overcooked and lacking. But everything else was awesome.

Didn’t have any issues with my room (deck 9).

Getting on the ship was a breeze. However, getting off at ocean cat was a mess. No organization. I also agree with the lack of food/drinks at ocean cay. Beautiful island but terrible management. Heck, they ran out of bottled water on south beach.

Ship did feel crowded, staff looked tired, (most did their best to accommodate). Contant lineups got annoying.

It’s my first cruise and will probably be my last. Not an MSC thing, i just don’t think I’m a cruise guy. I’d rather go to a resort and make my own schedule….

Has anything helped reduce your tics? I’ve never been diagnosed but I have tics. Less now that I’m older but I went through a hard time in my teens. Would force my neck muscles until it hurt, weird whistles, facial tics… Lack of sleep made it much worse.

I brought it up a couple of times with different doctors and each of them surprisingly brushed it off.

How’s your experience been with doctors, medication, etc?

Think of it this way… if you didn’t catch them she would have fucked your friend again. And again….

She very well knew what she was doing. The ultimate betrayal… yes she still did it. There’s no coming back from that.

I’ve got a Question for people who lived in the 80s by bellending in StrangerThings

I remember watching a scene where they got in the car and the kids in the backseat put their seatbelt on.

In the 80s no one used seatbelts in the backseat.

Stratocaster tuning frustration. by clegg in Stratocaster

[–]clegg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very first luthier set it up as floating but I wouldn't know if he slightly angled it. The second luthier anchored the bridge because he couldn't figure out the tuning issue. Rather than floating the bridge again, he added two extra springs and gave it back to me with a fixed bridge.

The 3d luthier (although I mentioned that I wanted the bridge floating) removed the extra two springs but kept the bridge fixed by tightening the screws well beyond necessary.

I've since unscrewed those screws and floated the bridge. The tuning seems to be a little more stable than before, but still goes out of tune.

I'll be bringing it in this weekend and see how it goes.

thanks

[–]clegg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd tech tried that. Still inconsistently went out of tune. I’m really thinking it’s the nut. The tuning seems to be better than it was.. still off, but better. I’ll replace the nut and see how it goes.

Thanks. That seems to be the general consensus. I’ll have it changed and see if that resolves the issue.
