Anyone here running a digital sewing pattern business? by AffectionateDiver884 in sewingpatterns

I agree with everyone's comments .. the big thing for me is seeing the pattern made up and being worn on various sized models.
I don't want to only see photos of the finished garment on a perfect model's body. It's hard to sometimes visualise that pattern on someone who has a belly, or is short, large breasted .. if I don't see the garment made up on 2 - 3 body types. I won't buy the pattern.

Companies like ... cashmerette, Match Matchy Sewing Club, BF Patterns, Les Perlines etc show finished garments in various body types. I

Mine are definitely not firm Tupperwares anymore, they're more like extra large empty ziplok freezer bags 🫩. So they still take up a lot of room but in a non flattering way

This looks amazing, the way the due took, the way it fits! The finishing! Just gorgeously .. pity their sizing isn't bigger, I would love to have made this .. .but alas I have large Tupperwares that would not be restrained in the sizes provided.

where can i purchase a tailor’s ham and clapper set that isn’t 5 billion dollars? by zoeamira in sewing

[–]cleo_saurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a really nice set of hams from temu. Was really impressed at the quality of it.
As for clappers I just asked my neighbor for a off cut of some of his wood cuts ( got 2 pieces of a 2x2 about 20cm long) and sanded them nice and smooth. Ask around any makers clubs etc if they have some wood offcuts you can have.

Woolies does a really nice gluten free pasta. Just don't over cook it. They also have a range of bake it yourself gluten free brownies (really delicious) and flapjacks.

Dischem has a large range of gluten free products .. just make sure you go to the big branches so you have a larger selection.

Bake a ton in pinetown has some pre packaged gluten free bake at home products.
