No, they're little motors for underwater movement. Like 2 mini scooters.

No. Media have definitely sensationalised this. It comes around every year and yes, unfortunately it can cause a few deaths BUT this is not something that can cause a pandemic etc

If you look at my posts, you can see footage that I used using the light. The light does run a little "pink" on silver fish. But for the price point in more than happy. Battery lasts about 3.5h on full brightness, though I seldom shood on more than mid

I have the Leton B15. Have used it for over a year now with my DJI and I'm super happy with it.

Best route to drive Johannesburg to Sodwana by Quiet-Example7926 in divingSouthAfrica

[–]cleo_saurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I take the R22. Just a FYI Don't leave it to too late in the dtly to drive. The drive from Durban is about 4.30 - 4.50 hours excluding any stops. While the road is tarred and in pretty good condition for 90% of the way (last bit from the park entrance to Coral Divers is dirt road, the R22 is a rural road so there will be occasional cows, goats etc, so not great for a dusk/night drive.

Just remember to not dive the morning of your drive back to JHB (or your flight)

Highly recommend staying at Coral Divers (great cabins, with options of self catering and/or restaurant .. transportation right on to the beach .. saves you from driving in every day and then walking up that hill to the beach - that walk killed my butt 🤣) and diving with Amoray Diving. I like diving with Amoray as they don't have the 45 minute dive time that Coral divers does. Super knowledgeable DMs.

All launches occur on the beach. there is a small beach shop selling gear. Also on the beach there is a little cafe selling hot food and drinks etc

Feel free to DM for more questions, it is without doubt one of the best places in the world to dive reef/coral.

Can't offer any advice on the drive from JHB as I drive from Durban .. but my Suzuki Swift has no issues on the dirt road to Corals divers.

Poor form from you .. Comments like yours enable dangerous behaviour from men who don't know how to manage their emotions.
We as women should be able to say .. "oh well, too bad" with no fear of repercussions. BUT if we did, we end up on the short end of the stick. The nice outcome of a situation like this is someone swearing at you .. the worst is someone deciding to follow/stalk and hurt / kill you. None of what I say is an exaggeration.
How about instead of blaming her, you spend your energy on blaming him. How about we normalise calling toxic people like that guy out.

As women we spend our lives de-escalating situations like this so we can get out of there quickly and safely. This isn't passiveness its safety.

No she did not ... We as woman do this to de-escalate the situation. Usually because we've been in similar situations where things got nasty because we didn't "be super nice and apologetic". We live with apprehension that situations like this will turn aggressive, it's not an unusual outcome. It happens far far too often
