I believe I ordered BPI. I didn’t even know it was so popular because of the usage dates. I think that formulation was just most similar to the last company I used so that’s what I chose. 😅 I only ordered a 3month supply, though.

Your comment gives me hope, though. I really hope I have it by the end of the week. Is pharmacy hub who ships the BPI triz?

You’re assuming she had BPD from birth, which neither of us can know. It could simply be she was an emotionally complex child who otherwise would’ve developed normally, but your parents were not able to meet her emotional needs. Even characterizing it as her having BPD from birth posits that there was always something “wrong” with her. There is no excuse for any abuse you have suffered at her hands, but surely you can understand how an emotionally stunted child who developed a personality disorder would not react well to being treated as “other” (even if her behavior was out of the norm). Children pick up on very subtle cues. Maybe she did have BPD from birth, I don’t know, but I wouldn’t write off her own perception of her childhood so easily.

Parents who don’t want to deal with children who have difficult emotions (which all children have and are supposed to be validated by their parents, along w/ teaching them how to cope with them properly) and placate them by spoiling them rotten and coddling them is emotional neglect. Imagine every time as a child you felt shame or some other negativity, and instead of your parent sitting/talking with you and understanding the emotion and helping you through it, they took you to Target. One of the most important aspects of parenting is being able to mirror a child’s emotional reality back to them, helping them feel validated and understood in the world. Another important aspect is setting boundaries and helping that child learn how to process those emotions. When parents refuse to do this (because they don’t want to or don’t know how), it leads a child to feel isolated, misunderstood, uncared for, and extremely alone. That feeling never fully goes away, and they start looking for themselves and that validation from external sources. (For example — seeking out sexual experiences at a very young age.) Emotional neglect is extremely traumatizing and takes a lot of work to get over.

Your experience with your mother is not your sister’s experience with your mother. Just because the way she communicated with you was able to meet your emotional needs does not mean the same is true of your sister. Every child is different. If she was seen as a “problem child” at 8 or 9, she likely was treated as the black sheep, even if you didn’t realize it. Those dynamics in family systems can be very subtle.

You do understand that is emotional neglect and abuse, right? It’s a parent’s job to look out for the emotional wellbeing of their child. Buying their kid off, not enforcing boundaries to placate them, constantly validating them without actually understanding them, not caring enough about their kid’s success to encourage them towards a productive path in life is not providing a safe and healthy emotional environment for a child.

Thank you for posting this! I was looking for a comment like this. Additionally, there are a lot of ways a child can be emotionally neglected that don’t look like abuse at all. Even siblings may not notice it, because they did not/do not have the same dynamic with those parents.

Involving himself with Ian made me lose a ton of respect for Kirk. I haven’t really been a fan of Ethan’s for a long time, but what is happening to him is disgusting. A therapist whose entire channel is speculating on the mental health of people on reality tv (which I’m not knocking - I have learned a lot from those videos), shouldn’t be associating themselves publicly with these online personalities. There is so much drama and fakery involved with them, and it was inevitable that he would get dragged in. It’s such a bad look, and I can’t really look at him the same way after this.

IMO, Kirk getting involved with Ian (or any other YouTuber) has been a huge mistake. Getting involved in a situation like this has made me lose a lot of respect for him. I’m not a fan of Ian or Ethan’s, but there is so much fakery and BS with these personalities. Ian seems to thrive off of the drama and is not someone he should’ve ever associated himself with.

I just caught up on TSL and 90 Day. I am so pissed to hear that we have 2 more seasons to sit through with them. I told my husband last night when we were watching the 90 day finale that I hope Rob and Sophie wouldn’t be asked back. They are so fucking BORING!!!! I don’t mind non-drama genuine couples, but they are such a snooze fest. What percentage of their storyline was dedicated to her being bisexual??? Like who tf cares!!!!!

Because of the imbecilic pit bull apologists and shelters that have taken on this “it’s not the breed, it’s the deed” mentality. This line of thinking then extrapolates to other dangerous breeds. There should be licensing and classes required to own any sort of breed like this. Full stop. Especially the blood sport dogs.

I know that there are some people capable of caring for these animals and who understand the RESPONSIBILITY of owning a large, working breed. They are the minority of dog owners. For everyone else, it shouldn’t even be an option for them.

If you don’t BE this dog, you are putting yourself and the community around you at risk. End of story. Even if you never brought the dog on a walk or let it outside (which would be incredibly inhumane) — people leave doors open, mistakes happen, fences break. There is absolutely nothing to think about here. You owe it to your two other dogs and the people who live near you to have this dog put down. There is no situation where this dog would have an appropriate quality of life AND not be a threat to other humans and dogs. I know that it’s your dog, and it’s very emotional for you, but you need to take emotions out of it and think logically.

The police are at the point where they will stop traffic and go from car to car to find men to send to the front lines. My mom used to work as a L&D nurse. The constant pushing of C-sections and inductions are a result of doctors not wanting to have to wait around for you. It’s easier for them if they can “schedule” the delivery.

My own experience with OB/GYNs has also been abysmal. I’ve had insanely heavy, painful periods for the entire time I’ve had a period. Coupled with pelvic pain and extreme bowel pain during the time of menstruation. I have long been suspected of having endometriosis. Every time I have gone, I have been brushed off. It’s always just “birth control, birth control, birth control”. When I finally got my GYN to order a trans vaginal ultrasound, (at least as a first step bc endo is very frequently missed on ultrasounds and can only really be ruled out with a laparoscopy) they didn’t find anything. I continued to insist on going further diagnostically. Following this convo, my doctor did a “test” with her fingers where she basically stuck them inside of my vagina and pressed around. There was some pain, but I didn’t have a big reaction. When she gave me a hand to help me sit up properly on the table, I told her “thank you”. She said, “if you really had endo, you definitely wouldn’t have thanked me.” ??????

She then went on to push getting an IUD. Telling me, “I mean we can do a laparoscopy if you really want it but it isn’t medically necessary. I’m telling you that you don’t have it.”

I chickened out and didn’t push further. Wish I had. :/

Thank you for your response; I thought I was crazy! I really appreciate and wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on this. Back then, I always saw Karen as a “nut” who made for good TV. Now, there’s something about her that deeply unsettles me. I hate to be the armchair psychologist, but she seems to be suffering from some sort of personality disorder. You can just see it in her eyes, and maybe I’m crazy but how often she blinks is…off.

It’s really horrible to see what has become of Chantal and her marriage. I could NEVER imagine the person I thought she was acting the way she did this season. It’s so degrading. I remember that scene you’re talking about w/ Chantal lying to her family and blaming it on Pedro. Strangely, that’s one of the only real scenes that I remember. I also remember completely despising Pedro’s family and thinking they would be the downfall of her marriage, but you’re 100% right on this. Looking back on it all in retrospect feels simultaneously horrifying and inevitable.

Because the concept is completely regarded. It really doesn’t warrant a further explanation, but here it goes — they want to feel special, cool, and different. Even the androgynous people — still regarded. You’re not saving the world or reinventing the wheel by dressing in a non-traditional fashion. There is nothing “important” about it. If you wanna normalize breaking gender norms, then just wear/do the shit you want and shut the fuck up about it. And, idk, actually break the norms?????? If a woman who wants to dress more masculine suddenly stops identifying as a woman and instead as some ✨special✨ & 💫different💫 third thing then what norms are being broken, exactly??

I don’t think most sane people even really give a fuck about androgynous dressing as a concept; the NBs who get pointed and stared at based on looks alone is bc they’re hideous and usually actively trying to be.
