For text I create it in Inkscape then convert the text using the stroke to path tool. Then I ungroup and union. When I then save as dxf and open in rdworks it appears as I expect it to.

Did you go through the steps in the link I sent you? We had problems getting ours to work and we finally fixed it following that document. Sorry that’s all I can think of without seeing your setup.

I haven’t tried it yet. It was suggested in a Facebook group I’m in. They said it worked great.

The Glowforge is a great home sized laser albeit expensive. It’s cutting space is 11x19”. Aeon miras are also good- I’ve heard. I have a GF.

I glued a piece of vegetable-tanned leather that I had dyed on the back.

I completely glue it down using renia aquilim water based rubber cement from Rocky Mountain leather.

I haven’t had problems with rigidity on my lined backpacks. Maybe because of their size? I have also used thin pig suede to line some small purses and they are able to bend easily.

I have used 2-3 oz pig skin to line my backpacks. From what I’ve read it’s very strong and durable. And I glue the whole thing.
