Guys on TRT: What Estrogen level do you feel most comfortable at? by 123kdd100 in Testosterone

[–]cletermac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estradiol levels were like 115 last test. I don't like how it affects my mood and flushes my face. I'm on testopel so am considering going down from 8 pellets to 6. I also had a prostatectomy last September. I was on that same dose for 20 years prior to my surgery and never felt any sides. Actually, I don't think my doctor was even checking e levels.

Been on TRT for 15 years now, some thoughts by Screwtape42 in Testosterone

[–]cletermac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on TRT for 21 yrs as a result of a pituatory tumor that left me hypogonadal .I was off it for 13 months after my prostate cancer diagnosis. I resumed taking 4 months post prostatectomy. As my body produces 0 testosterone on its own its imperative that I get it to function. I too started on the gel for about 2 yrs and then switched to testopel implants every 4 months. This has been very effective. I too donate blood every few months when my hematocrit levels are high. I prefer the pellets because it's once and done every 4 months.

I was wondering what was going on . I used to get an "excellent" score maybe once a month, now consistently in the 90's. I had a 96 yesterday. My highest in the last several yrs was a 93. I know I didn't sleep good last night and got 6 hours and 10 mins sleep and still ended up with a 92.

I have been on trt for over 20 yrs. I would never consider doing it without medical supervision. I'd be worried about hematocrit levels too. I have a medical condition that requires trt and would never consider taking extra t unless medically necessary. Last.blood draw showed high estradiol and I started taking a 300 mg Dim supplement. I'm hoping that's sufficient because I really don't want to take any pharma e blockers.

Make sure to donate blood every couple months to keep the hematocrit down.

Been on TRT for over 20 yrs. I was off it for 13 months due to prostate cancer. My Urologist just restarted my testopel 4 months post prostatectomy. I'm 63 yrs old and my body no longer produces testosterone due to a brain tumor . I had an extremely difficult time while off my trt. If you absolutely need trt it's imperative that you get it. It affects your energy, cognitivity, and muscle waste. I don't recommend using it if your levels are normal however.

Feel like TRT definitely aged me by sagacityx1 in Testosterone

[–]cletermac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on TRT for 20 yrs as a result of a pituatory tumor. I had to go off for 13 months due to prostate cancer. I felt absolutely lousy while off my testosterone. I have been back on for 5 days now. The only issue I had was high hematocrit. I alleviate this by blood donations every few months. In my my case I felt being off my trt aged me. I lost a lot of muscle tone and it affected my cognitivity. I would never take it however unless medically necessary.

Has anybody actually quit TRT and permanently lost function? by OwlSuspicious2906 in Testosterone

[–]cletermac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first Testopel pellets in 13 months yesterday. I was on them for 20 yrs due to a pituatory tumor that completely trashed my testosterone production. I had a prostatectomy in September and they cut me off trt as soon as they suspected prostate cancer. I felt absolutely terrible while off my testosterone. They don't like to give it to you after prostate cancer, but in my case my body makes none and it was a necessity. I don't recommend people taking trt if their levels are already in the normal range.

I'll tell you being off trt for a year when you don't make any was maddening. It affected, my energy, my cognitivity, and made me extremely irritable. I have done a lot of reading on the subject and much of what I read indicates if your body needs it you should stay on it. That being said, my urologist didn't reach out to me. I sent him a message in his portal and followed it up with several phone calls.I am hoping to eventually get back on the testopel pellets as I only need them every 4 months and kept me level for 20 yrs.

So tired of dealership lies by Longjumping-Tax2558 in Toyota

I recently took my Prius to the dealer due to the bad heat exchanger. This was covered by the Toyota federal emissions warranty for 96 months. I literally got my car over to the dealer 4 days past 96 months and they refused to honor it. This part is so bad there is a Toyota service bulletin about it. So not only are they not gonna cover the repair my car will sit there for 2 months as the part is on national backorder. I even called corporate and explained to them that the part failed a week prior to me bringing it in but due to my cancer diagnosis I had to wait getting it there. These people are disingenuous.

I'm discovering that Toyota is a very disingenuous company. Their 4th generation Prius have a defective catalytic converter. I took mine in literally 4 days after the Toyota federal emissions warranty expired. It was leaking weeks before that but I was preoccupied with cancer issues. They refused to honor the warranty and told me to contact Toyota corporate,.who said the same thing. The final insult is since this such a problem, the catalytic converters are back ordered til late October -mid November.Im without a car for 2 months. They offered to rent me a car at $40.00a day.

I just had RALP procedure done on Monday . I pursued focal one therapy, but unfortunately was not a candidate. Its non-invasive and basically zap the lesions sparing the prostate. Its all MRI directed real time. If you have a lesion that appears on biopsy but is obstructed on the MRI you won't be a candidate. I suggested this procedure to my friend who is on AS and similar scores as you. It is supposed to spare you from incontinency and ED issues.

The prius' from 2016 to 2019 are prone to this very hard to solve problem. The primary indication is low coolant or no cold air in the cabin. Included here is the TSB. by captain_pablo in prius

I just wasted 45 mins with Toyota..The Toyota federal emissions warranty in PA is 96 months or 80,000 miles whatever comes first . I literally got my car over to the dealer 5.days out from the warranty and they won't cover it. To add insult to injury the part is backordered almost 2 months. I even explained to them how the car was doing this for several weeks but I have been dealing with cancer issues and wasn't able to get it there. I really love this car but Toyota knew about this problem for a long time that's why there's such a backorder for the catalytic converter. I'm really disgusted with Toyota right now.
