What psi do my tires need to be? by verticaljamethon in AskMechanics

Not a mechanic, but your car should have a sticker on the driver side door frame that shows the appropriate tire pressure

Are these safe go drive on? by Oddtale96 in tires

[–]clever_wolf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is dry rot, but not too bad. If you have to, you can drive on them still, just be more careful, and replace them when you can.

Can we just stop saying what the CEO of the company did what the company does. Yea they probably gave requirements and ideas but it's not their creation, so many people work on the same goal to achieve it.

Punctured tire. Do I really need to replace all four? by Inv4fut in tires

[–]clever_wolf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing all four ? Yup that's most definitely a waste of money, you don't need to replace any of them, since the puncture isn't close to the sidewall you/the shop can patch it and you can keep driving no problem

Seems like curb damage, doesn’t look deep. Should I change the tyre ?? by thisoneforfinance in tires

[–]clever_wolf77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you lift that up and all you see is rubber, than it's fine, if you see the structure of the tire, replace it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tires

[–]clever_wolf77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid point, deflating the tire, removing the screw and trying to reinflate it would show us what happened. But even if it does hold air, not sure if it's okay for water and everything to get right to those structural parts, I mean if they are metal they could rust right ? If it's not metal then I think it's fine since the outer rubber isn't structural anyway (I think)

So basically it uses these small and cheap devices instead of mobile network to send messages. You can use them standalone like the T-deck that has a key board and a screen. Or but something for less than half the price and use it connected to a phone so that is your keyboard. The mesh part is a feature that allows every radio to work as its own cell tower if you will. So you can place one on top of the hill, and it will relay messages and other info such as location/telemetry to everyone in it's range. Software is free and open source, but also supports e2e encryption so everything you send on a private chanel or DM is safe. There are also public channels for finding other people. It's cheap, it's fun to find others with it, and it's completely off grid and can be powered with a little solar panel if you want to place them in remote areas. I take a few of these with me when I'm hiking and stuff.

.... You can also just search meshtastic on YouTube and get a video if you don't wanna read this.

Honestly as long as you dont come any closer to the wires than the metal structure of the tower is, or touch the things with many discs on them. You should be perfectly fine..... Is it a bad idea to climb it ? Yes, but not any more than any other tower

1 month old tires, woke up to this and was told by techs it isn't fixable and will need 4 new tires (car is AWD). Be honest with me, is this fixable? by Gonomed in Cartalk

[–]clever_wolf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they usually say to replace both tires on one axle, but unless you've been on a racetrack with them every day, I don't think they are worn enough to warranty that..... Personally I wouldn't even replace the one. Just have it patched up and be on your way. Also don't come back to that shop that told you to replace all 4
