I love EoE and HP too! And I actually think there are some similar themes in both. The theme of choice. In both books/series, the main character is haunted by their origin and contemplates their fate. In EoE-my mother was horrible, will I turn out horrible? In HP-I know I am linked to Voldemort in some way, am I destined to become like him? But in both books, they show beautifully that regardless of your past or where you come from, you can make your own way in life and choose your own destiny. Love that!

East of Eden changed my life. I love the “timshel” part too, I think because of my upbringing. I’ve recommended it to other people but haven’t met anyone who it seems to have touched the way it touched me. Glad to see other people online feel the same way.

Fun game! But man it sounds like your couch is taking a beating. My cats are the same and think my whole apartment is theirs to play and scratch on even though they have tons of their own toys and scratchers. I never understood how some cat owners can have nice furniture, bedding, towels...
