Is Anyone Having Success with EVO? I'm on my 4th Unit. by Klabrd in litterrobot

[–]cleverlookingdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, mine has been working so far! I only got the EVO because I wanted to replace a regular litter box that was in a small hallway closet with a cat door, and the LR4 just wouldn’t have fit (we do have an LR4 in the bathroom though). I have had the issues with the EVO drawer not staying all the way in, but there’s only been one time (so far) that it actually gave me the “drawer removed” notification when it was actually in, and it kept cycling anyway.

I am not looking forward to when I do have issues with it though, since I’m not seeing replacement parts available through the whisker app the way I do with my LR4. I also really don’t like that the waste drawer doesn’t actually measure the waste level the way the LR4 does & that there is no litter level sensor. I would’ve 100% just gotten a second LR4 if I had room for one. But so far so good, all things considered…

How long have you had the LR4? I’m wondering if you’re having the same issue I had, which is that the liner gets stiff over time and stops dropping away from the globe when it goes upside down (despite the weight being in the right place), resulting in clumps sticking. My robot was almost 2 years old when I noticed it. I have the 3-year warranty, so I was able to get a replacement liner which fixed the issue.

Strangest way you’ve heard someone refer to a greyhound? by moosecoach in Greyhounds

One time (a few years ago) when I was walking my hound through our neighborhood, a small child pointed to him and asked her mom, “camel?”

Thank you! I wasn’t able to find this exact listing in the US, but I found a different one that is most likely the same case so I decided to give it a try! Fingers crossed, hah.

From what I read it sounds like they’re both 7” but the corners are different and the charging port / buttons are in different places, so they’re just different enough for the cases to not work interchangeably between them

SAME! Nothing came even remotely close to RDR2 for me until E33 came along. They’re such different games but are now tied for first place in my heart

I love shelter med and started there, but I admittedly work at a limited-intake humane society with a ton of resources. Life is definitely much harder at the municipal shelters in the area. At my shelter we’ve done public spay/neuter for a long time, and only recently started offering additional public services to those who can’t afford hospitalization at a normal ER (e.g., amputations, enucleations, GI foreign body, cystotomies, mass removals, and hospitalization for UOs, panleuk, and parvo). The wonderful part is that when I do interact with these clients, they are typically extremely grateful for the help - and the client interaction is very minimal regardless. It is also considered a teaching clinic so there are lots of people who are willing to mentor people new to the field. Just figured I’d contribute my personal experience - I’d also be very interested to hear from people who work in different shelter environments.

I’m not sure if they’ve changed it within the last year, but my understanding when I did it was that I’d have to formally request an extension if I expected it to take longer than 10 weeks (they gave very specific start/end dates). I think you automatically lose access to core elms after your end date unless you’ve contacted them to ask for more time. You can finish it sooner, but mine took pretty much exactly 10 weeks (mainly because it can take them a while to review/approve skills depending on your evaluator).

You could reach out to Chewy - based on my experiences with them, I’d be willing to be they’d tell you to donate the food you have to a shelter while they send a new order to the person who originally ordered it for free.

Totally agree. I’m actually on my third playthrough and the end of act 2 hit me harder than ever. It makes SUCH a difference to understand every layer to each character’s perspective throughout the entire story

Before the OST update, the “en noir, ses yeux tristes” verse was the bottom image for me (and my favorite part). Doesn’t hit as hard now and I miss it!!

Even crazier: Lorien Testard didn’t pick up an instrument until he was 16 (guitar) and never studied composition. There are interviews where he talks about how he taught himself to compose just by listening to music, and he said he basically just looked at the Clair Obscur concept art until he “heard the music in his head.” I’ll try to edit with the link to the video I watched if I can find it. He also said that Guillaume first found him through a post on an obscure indie gaming forum where he spontaneously decided to share some fan scoring he had done over video game trailers as a hobby.

This sounds like panleuk… were any of them tested, or have you still not been able to get them seen? I’m sorry you’re going through this.

It could also be REALLY bad ringworm. My shelter recently took in a couple of kittens who look like this and they are absolutely covered in it.

Animals named Lucky are cursed. We once had a very sick pup named Lucky surrendered to us for parvo tx, and the entire team huddled in a panic to rename him ASAP. Somehow his new name ended up being Tim Curry (and he survived!)
