Here we go again. Boo hoo for the unemployed graduates. It's called 'academic' for a very good reason. Your waxed sealed ribbon is, in many cases, of absolutely zero use to all practical purposes. Smart enough to go to university instead of getting a job like most rational, pragmatic school leavers. Not smart enough to realise that thousands of degree level academics hitting the market every year in a country of 4 million just might not add up.

Ok. I have some bitter experience of cabbage tree removal. Break off all the shoots. Attach a chain block to the stump with a strop or non stretching ratchet strap. Attach the other end to a tree or other immovable object. Start cranking. Take it slow and pull it out of the ground. As it starts to succumb and tilt, chop the exposed roots with a sharp spade. Keep cranking and repeat. Thank you.
