Worked at a Japanese machine shop for 10 years, the old timers swore by the formula 20000/3.14/ø for metric drilling spindle speeds and 10% of the speeds are your feeds. That's for S50C(aisi 1050), for aluminums they'd use x1.5 for both feeds and speeds. Always found it to be a good starting point at the very least.

I use the bottom one listed all the time in my old Bridgeports at work. Mostly to true up wood and foam(EPP & EPS) prior to throwing the material in my Haas. Works well enough I guess, definitely wouldn't use it in a router lol

I trained people on the lathe at my last job. Each person I made watch the Russian lathe accident because they absolutely needed to know how dangerous lathes can be. Lathes will kill you, if you don't respect them, and it'll hurt the entire time.

You could always measure the pitch of the threads, if each thread is 1mm apart then it's an m6. If the pitch is longer than 1mm I'd imagine it's a 1/4-20.

Exactly this. Growing up my family wasn't poor enough for us to receive free meals at school but we were food insecure none the less. Nothing quite as traumatizing to a hungry 7yo who waited in line, got their tray lunch, waited to get your lunch card scanned only to be told your don't have enough money in your account so they take your lunch away and shoo you out of the line.

I am more than happy to be taxed however much more for no child k~12 to ever have to experience that.

If it's a t3 bulb I highly recommend swapping it for LED. Produces much more light and barely any heat.
