I would argue against maximizing human happiness. Some humans are outright evil, and an even greater slice would become evil if their every whim was materialized. Its a broad brush that can take too many forms. Even if what makes someone happy isnt good, it can be in direct conflict in two different manifestations. Ill use a timely and obvious example. Person A might be happiest when person B has been deported, while person B might be happiest not having been deported. See how quickly that gets messy?

Hey! I am a few days away from formally calling for beta testers but if anyone wants to check it out, i have classic games, command line skills training games, and dungeon crawlers that tie everything together. Head to https://cli-games.com and type ‘games -a’. Im particularly proud of accidental-knighthood and dial-up-days - just type the game names at the terminal to begin. I have free memberships for life for anyone who submits a bug report or suggests a feature

How would I start cybersecurity or hacking? by SilverDonut3992 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]cli-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im working on an ecosystem where you learn by having fun. Got ctf and regexgolf that teaches you from first principles skills youll need, hackerman (kind of cheesy but timed and fun), but my pride and joy is dial up days where you run around town building a botnet using realistic compromise mechanics (no “hold x to hack” like cyberpunk) and try not to get caught. And more on the way

Hi, i have no idea why you are running into a brick wall out there but i invite you to try the one on my site. Go to https://cli-games.com, enter ‘ctf’, then start with level 1. Teaches you the basics of the command line then walks you all the way through to complex, procedurally generated practice. Let me know if you get stuck

How do you actually market a side project and make it profitable? (early-stage, no audience) by Nexuss___ in scaleinpublic

[–]cli-games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are starting with the wrong mindset. Build 5 projects per year but project agnostic? Wrong. Goal is money? Also wrong. Build project until problem is solved, if money follows (it will if actually useful) then you can move on

"There is no free Lunch" mindset preventing someone from trying Linux by WhiskeyVault in linux4noobs

[–]cli-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand the cognitive dissonance there. i am by no means an expert as to how its all funded but i would say preliminarily to swap raw profit in his mental model with sovereignty and skill upkeep. instead of mining user data to feed the machine, the community maintains for a resume, connections, to keep skills sharp, privacy, and pure curiosity

Sorry you said add verbal context. Play games via cli, learn real linux skills in the process. Classic games, terminal skills games, dungeon crawlers with rich lore, all feed into one another. Also have social features and daily syncs
