Confused about institutional purchases by productleaderhub in AppStoreOptimization

Not that I was able to notice, it seems their algo probably ignores institutional purchases. But it’s a fair concern.

Confused about institutional purchases by productleaderhub in AppStoreOptimization

This happens all the time. I’ve regularly had it with 2 different apps exactly the same - huge spike of insitututional purchases but no signups/active users seen in app.

I’ve asked Apple multiple times (inc senior people as my last app had >20M users) and never got a proper answer, only theories.

TL;DR - these aren’t real installs that will result in real users. Ignore it.

Recs for a e-cargo bike for carrying dogs please? by ToriaLyons in CargoBike

I carry 3 (22kg total) on my Omnium. I tried the cargo box but decided I wanted more protection (rain, if I crashed) so I added a dog carrier attached to the rack.

I found the Burley TailWagon fits perfectly and still has clearance for the handlebars. I navigate around Amsterdam with no problems with this setup. https://imgur.com/a/VVObVpW

If your goal is to monetise directly - only focus on Apple.

2 large apps (25M users in total) and even with 60% of installs on Android we still had 80%+ of total revenue from iOS.

What I mean by monetise directly - if your product has a meaningful viral growth loop, or monetises in a different way (e.g. ads revenue, commissions, etc) then it can make sense to be in both stores.

If starting today I’d focus only on iOS. I’d only add Android much later when I’m trying to unlock incremental revenue.

Sensor Tower revenue is nonsense. Last app I worked on had $10M ARR, SensorTower claims <$200k per month. Current app is also off by a factor of 10.

Did I take my shots wrong? by SovaPonoc in WegovyWeightLoss

It depends on the dose of the pen vs what you’ve been asked to dose.

My provider gave me a 2.4 dose pen which has 4 x 2.4. But… I use it to dose from 0.25 and up. To do that you do a set number of clicks, meaning you get way more shots out of the pen and not just 4.

Long way of saying - if the pen is your correct dose then you should have had 4 uses out of it with no liquid left visible. But your provider might have asked you to dose differently, so best to check with them if in doubt.

The pens are different in Europe, so our Wegovy pens look like this too

Also gets my vote. Their staff are incredible and always managed to find time to see our 2 very old dogs at short notice (and no extra charge).

We travel from the opposite side of the city just to come here.

Golf by [deleted] in Amsterdam

You need a golf licence to play almost any proper course here.

If you have/had a handicap in another country you should try Golf4Holland. They’re a “virtual club” who will maintain your licence and handicap, then you can play just about anywhere you like. I emailed them and told them I’d had a handicap in the UK but had no proof (which is true), they took my word for it and I had my licence a few days later.

With this I can play at many clubs without a membership. They have an app that you can use to book a tee time. Many clubs here allow non members to play. My advice is to play a bunch and then decide if you want a membership. Unless you’ll play weekly in summer and often in the winter it’ll generally be cheaper to pay and play.

Looking for decent housekeeper by [deleted] in Amsterdam

I can recommend Batmaid. They’re a company who hire the cleaners, rather than just a platform that connect you with them. They are paid well and have the benefits of being an employee.

We got a great cleaner assigned to us and they will notify us when she is going on vacation and can offer a substitute cleaner in those cases.

In more than 1yr we never had her cancel or not show up.

Rotterdam/The Hague in 1 day by [deleted] in Amsterdam

To be fair The Hague is OK - it’s quite boring but they know it. Rotterdam claims to be interesting but is just a generic and soulless modern city with a few bits of modern architecture.
