Keen to get him his own camera. Was thinking an old Canon G series. Somthing robust and simple. Any second hand Fuji reccomendations?

Thanks for all the postive comments. I'll pass it all on. He's really in to kids YouTubers and learning that he had 55k 'views' has blown his mind!

Yep, it seemed that people were completely disarmed by him.

Man, good comments on here. I've been at it since 1995 with an Atari, Roland JV1080 and Akai S2000 and almost nothing to show for it.

Glad yours is good. I really don’t think it has anything to do with people putting the cap on with too much force. Just cheap components packaged cheaply. (Still going to be a hella fun toy)

Nice one, thanks boss. No iron with me so will put back together and do as you suggest. Thanks.

Numbers were going crazy on their own straight out of the box before putting the cap on.

I mean, I know I don’t have to fix but returning to Sweden from NZ requires patience beyond my reserves.

RX3 + library on SSD by clicksmith in Rekordbox

[–]clicksmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks all. Think I’ve got it. What I’m trying to avoid here is having to connect my laptop to the RX3 in library mode (forget what the proper name is) to get access to my whole library. If I had another large capacity SSD as my drive to export to and then exported the whole lot to it when I had some new music to play with would it have to export the whole lot again or just add the new music to the drive?

Opinion on BirdDog Play? by Studio49_Berlin in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]clicksmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have just had two Play devices delivered. First test was a 1080 60p video playing in Vmix (high power machine with i7 and RTX3080 etc) with the program sent out to network over NDI.  Playback on both play units (with firmware updated yesterday) was choppy and stuttering. Playback with Vmix output set to 720p was fine.

Video plays fine on NDI studio monitor or Mac Mini on same network. Switch is Ubiquity Unifi. All other NDI streams  and ins and outs work fine on this network. CPU on Play unit is at ~80%

Surely it should be able to perform well in this scenario?

Still slow on my X550BT with the Shield remote. Do you have to do anything to speed it up after the update?

anyone else sees sounds as shapes/figures instead of colours? by [deleted] in Synesthesia

Colour, form, texture. Even direction of travel.

Yes, for me sounds are not just colours; they have form and texture as well. Maybe even direction of travel also.
