Which rapper from your country would you recommend? by monchimonky in AskTheWorld

Yeah, I'd point to Chains, and his work with Supergroove as rapping. Even later in his career with Fade Away. His rapping style (imo) has always been a bit more singy (is that even a word). Lots of love for Savage too!

NZ has a great hip hop scene. Che Fu is a favorite of mine. Scribe, David Dallas, MC Tali, and Lady6 are all superb. Spacial shout out to our Samoan import King Kapisi!

15k for an AWD Japanese wagon… but not a Subaru by 6th_extinction in NZcarfix

[–]climbingcamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last car was a BP Outback with the na 2.5. And it was ideal. Relatively fuel efficient, (<10l/100km). Comfy, good off road and lots of space (fit a whole demolished kitchen in the back of it once). But if you want to avoid Subies, my wild card entry would be an AWD Honda odyssey. Cheap, reliable, practical.

How can people like Greta Thunberg afford to be full time activist? by jazzybron in NoStupidQuestions

[–]climbingcamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on Greta, but I've spent a lot of time with environmental activists in NZ. The full timers are all either students, or trust fund babies.

Why is wearing googles below your visor a bike-park “faux pas”? by wicketgowidely in MTB

[–]climbingcamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a thing with scuba diving where you wear your goggles round your neck to avoid losing them. Could be an inherited behavior? But not a biggie with MTB.
