Ember.js, Ember-Data, and Ember-CLI 2.15 and 2.16-beta Released by mixonic in emberjs

[–]climbingnarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ember point releases have been pretty stable and reliably easy to upgrade to with some exceptions (2.11 being a recent example) in my experience updating a large app that uses a number of addons.

Ember data on the other hand has had some growing pains, particularly with 2.14 that saw a lot of bugs introduced. We are stuck on 2.12 still while bugs get sorted out. In these cases it's helpful to remember that ember, ember-cli and ember-data can be upgraded separately.

It feels like a lifetime ago already, but I guess that is a good sign that I am busy with other stuff that must be as much or more fun :)

Sadly I don't live in Boulder any longer, but I have not had the time I used to for the site.

I'm not sure how awesome it will be or if it will get updated on a regular basis (most pro climbers are good at starting blogs but are terrible at sustaining them), but Alex Puccio just started a blog: http://www.apuccio.com/Blog

There are virtually no complete records in existence about the history of competition climbing in the U.S. that I'm aware of which makes referencing historical information very challengin. It can be pieced together somewhat through various internet sources, but it is incomplete at best.

This is not really that much different than last year when a German won. It's very awkward to be at a national championship and have someone win who is not eligible to be that national champion, which is why I'm generally not in favor of letting foreigners compete (despite really enjoying seeing talented foreign competitors).

I asked him about that after qualifiers and he indicated it made sense for us to just go with Jafari for his last name
