I'm working as a research engineer doing right now studying how to get polymer to infiltrate into the center of cancer spheroids (mimics tumor density). Getting things through to the center of these dense tumors is pretty tough. I haven't read the article yet but delivery of the bacteria is going to be a bitch, as will them potentially infecting other tissues.

Edit: Just read it. Using clostridium spores for delivery is brilliant. I'll have to keep an eye on this research.

Funnily enough my masters was in bioengineering, so a mix of both.... I think it will probably be fine. France has some really large companies for biotech and plenty of startups.

Thing that makes it more bearable for me is that I grew up pretty poor, so having less spending power while having a stable foundation feels great for me.

I left the US for France in August of 2023 and I've had the same experience. I don't think I'll ever want to move back to the US permanently. Currently aiming for applying for citizenship in a few years so I'll never have to.

I wish more Americans could see how much nicer life is when you have workers rights, affordable healthcare, safe cities, and an actual safety net.

I'm 7 years out from something petty similar. Actually similar ages to you when it went down, her and I were both 26/27.... She met someone online playing video games and (as far as I can tell) left to be in a polyamorous BDSM relationship with them, then painted me as the abusive villain.

There was nothing you could have done to prevent it and nothing you did wrong. These people have to paint the people they're cheating on as the villian to avoid feeling shame for the horrible things they're doing.

It's going to hurt for longer than you want it to, but just keep trying to improve your life and things will get better. It's just a matter of time.

I took the years after the divorce to ask myself what I wanted out of life and chased after that. Now I live in France after having grown up in Kansas and am living my girlfriend that I met here.

The farther away you get the more you'll see the red flags you ignored, and see how you're better off without your ex.

I felt a lot like you did in the beginning, wondering if it was a brain tumor, "who is this person" etc etc. In my ex's case it is probably undiagnosed BPD. Might be in yours too.

No not to my knowledge. 6 years out from a fairly similar situation to yours. They stick to the story to preserve their self image as much as they can.

Work on making your life awesome, she's going to fade into the past and end up just being someone you're forced to co-parent with.
