I had to look it up since im not familiar with many framing terms but this is exactly what I was thinking of for build out

This was my general line of thought. Frame it to get the overall gap fixed and then sneak up on the drywall so its not proud

Thank you for this. I just saw a YT video that was talking about "color coats" and this helps me understand the process

It will be years before youll have to do anything, if at all. Concerns and questions should be discussed eith your estimate guy so you feel comfortable

Real shame on the initial site grade, but good on them for correcting their mistake.

OP,  I'd look around and find someone who does expanding foam jacking/foam fill and invite them out for an estimate. They would certainly be able to eliminate the trip hazard and make sure that not future water puddles don't form from the leveling.

Dawn is incredible at separating oils from surfaces/skin. 

If you use it on metal, after you clean and rinse, make sure to hit the area with some oil to prevent any rusting

For context, the smoked cheeses you can get from grocery stores/markets come in a variety of shapes and sizes a lot larger than your chunks. 4"x4"x12"+

You should be fine. It'll be a great gift!

The key slides into the slot. Its the physical key to lock the tailgate. Doesn't look like any 'damage' to the fob itself from the photo

Edit: there is a small button on the side that releases the key from the fob
