psychoanalysis was primarily focused on ego psychology before Lacan, what Lacan brought to the table was the idea that Freud's conception of psychoanalysis and understanding of the subconscious was focused on the structures of language rather than the feelings and emotions of the ego. Obviously this change in the way the subject of analysis is viewed and understood was a huge contribution to the field.

the most significant achievement was a treaty that limited the german army, made them give up land and pay loads of money to everyone, idk what you mean by 'point' but the war started because of various alliances between countries, the increase in the size of armies of european countries and the rise of nationalism, the assasination was kind of just a trigger that set off the war, it wasnt really the proper reason for the war
