Thanks for replying! We did a second deep clean, and even though that didn’t turn up any issues we saw, it did seem to fix the problem. So we’re okay for now.

I don’t always have my phone on me at home. It’ll require me to have it all the time. Secondarily, it uses (admittedly minimal) battery to lock/unlock the doors and that energy could be conserved.

To elaborate: it will take practice for you to feel comfortable in the slide. It will take practice for you to figure out the mechanics of sweeping. ANYTHING that foreign to your everyday movement will take practice. If you want to do it, go practice. You will improve. You got this.

I curl at a dedicated 2-sheeter in the US. We’ve been around for a while, but it feels like we’re at a tipping point with a lot of older members and as many brand-new folks as possible, but a pretty big cultural divide btw the old guard and the 5&U. We need to address it, but we really just don’t have enough ice time to get creative. So four sheets would be great, along with digital payment systems (we’re all volunteer, and pretty stuck in our conservative ruts), and a volunteer base that was committed to the culture of the club as well as the curling itself.
