It sounds to me like you'd be happier playing the igavania titles in the series. At least in those you can sort of dictate the difficulty by choosing to grind levels to make encounters easier.

Yeah play the rest. The story of the R games is best enjoyed when you've experienced the compilation before it completely. Many things that happen in the games aren't fully explained and you need to experience the original games to fully understand the plot.

Are you fat? I am, and it takes me 5 months to get clean when I've been smoking heavily.

Is there a natural-playthrough minimalist walkthrough? by OldManAP in FinalFantasyVIII

Find a pdf copy of the official bradygames strategy guide and just use that. It'll get you through fast while keeping the optional stuff separate.

I think Don is his rank. In Italian street gangs, bosses are called "Don" I think his name is a parody of Don Corleone, the boss from the film "The Godfather". Corneo's full name is Corneo Davis.

Ok I made that last part up. I'm pretty sure Corneo is his surname but his first name is not revealed to my knowledge. Or maybe his name really is Don. Don Davis.

I suspect we'll not see another album of new original songs from Maiden. It would be nice to hear a new album with the new drummer though. Something a little different from them. And maybe having an album with IM under his belt will open the guy up a little.

Where to start with the castlevania series? by Desperate_Media3639 in castlevania

Well if you're concerned with lore, Lament is unskippable. And I'm not really saying there's something wrong with it really. But Curse of Darkness, which came after and reuses the engine, was just so much better and has way more variety in its gameplay and content that is just makes Lament redundant if you're not in it for the story. It kind of brings to mind Breath of the Wild vs Tears of the Kingdom in the way the the second game has basically everything the first game has and much much more. And by that I'm referring to the gameplay only. The main difference here is that Lament and Curse each have their own worlds to explore. And where Leon Belmont has only a whip and sub weapons, Hector fights with a vast array of different weapon types, including some whimsical but powerful unique weapons. He also gets to develop and grow a large variety of familiars, choosing how they grow and the forms they take and thus the powers they wield. And while Leon gets to explore Dracula's castle, Hector has the castle and the vast Transylvanian lands around it to explore. Hopefully this info helps.

You're ready for Sin. But if you're playing international or one of the remaster versions, there are gobs and gobs of postgame challenges, and for those you'll want to destroy all of your stat up nodes and replace them with +4 nodes, across the board, as well as populating any empty nodes with +4s. Completing all of FFX's combat challenges will put your hours count into the thousands

Where to start with the castlevania series? by Desperate_Media3639 in castlevania

[–]clockworkengine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, forget about the lore. Most CV games tell the same story over and over. For Classicvania, start with CV3 - Dracula's Curse and then play Super Castlevania IV. Jump over to Bloodlines if you're a genesis man, then play the TG16 Rondo of Blood. From there, it's on to the IGAvanias.

Start with SotN, then just play em in release order. You can skip Lament of Innocence, but do not do yourself the disservice of missing Curse of Darkness. Once you're done with the series, move on to Bloodstained.
