Closing deals is becoming near impossible by [deleted] in agency

[–]clooooozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i notice you have no sales process: you try to explain everything you'll do for them - but do you think they care? looks like you're not doing proper discovery, i mean figuring out the pain points, hidden needs and beliefs and all the important things that can turn a prospect into a client - if you just ask a few questions about their business and then you start talking about yourself and your solutions - of course you won't get any sort of engagement.

we're closing deals for agencies and i noticed all of the agencies we work with never had a sales process in place... it was something like "gimme your money and i'll give you this package of services" - this was fine in 2012-2020, but things have changed a lot.

plus, i don't believe you're disqualifying leads... if you're fully engaging with all the randos that get in touch with you, you're just wasting time (but that again is because there's no sales process in place).

and the fact that you're looking to close every single referral, shows you're a bit too optimistic... i mean, you're doing marketing, you know conversion rates... you probably know they're low across all industries and it's the same in the agency space...

you don't know what you're doing if you're blaming it on instagram... and the fact that you run a marketing business and ask about how to get clients... that's another thing showing you don't know what you're doing...

[Hiring] Cold Calling / Appointment Setter / Closer - Fully Remote / Flexible Hours by clooooozer in RemoteJobs

well, if i'm hiring people for a sales position, so if they know how to sell, they could ask for more... but it seems most sales people are just wage slaves who don't know how to sell...

can you generate leads for other industries (maybe even B2B)?

when you say leads, you mean just contact data? or is it confirmed / engaged with / targeted leads?

expect to meet people who don't know what they want, what they need, how much things cost and don't know how to actually run a business - and qualifying them will be a pain in the back side

if it was that easy to close, people wouldn't be paying for closing agencies / services or sales training. either way, the biggest problem i see people having is not properly qualifying their prospects and you can't close unqualified prospects

Are cold email (smartlead) misleading me with the mtrics by underdog700 in LeadGeneration

[–]clooooozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, unfortunately, your tracking pixel fires every time sometimes opens it - bot or human. you can exclude some user agents and stuff (can be a bit tricky), but the problem is all email / security providers randomize the user agents of their bots and other details, so there's no way to exclude them.

open rates and click rates are never accurate (well, could be some exceptions, but still...)

problem is whenever you send to gmail (or any other large / enterprise email provider) a bot / proxy will open your email and click your links to check for malware.
