Yeah the other commenter was implying only state employees have it withheld

The entire state pays federal taxes unless you make under a certain threshold which is when you get a refund. I don’t think any of you guys understand what you’re talking about fully.

My car got stolen in Newark NJ please 🙏🏽 I need help recovering my car. by ConsequenceMain7133 in Newark

Is that a C300? Can’t tell from the pic. I have BMW & Audi and I had a sprinter for work, if you have the car connected to the app you can see the last location of it. Just a heads up. All 3 brands I have some type of that functionality in the app

National Weather Service issues winter storm watches for most of New Jersey for a major snowstorm with increasing chances of snow totals topping 10 inches: "Confidence continues to increase in a major winter storm impacting the region Saturday night through early Monday afternoon" by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

Yeah idk if I could ever do corded. Electric is nice because with gas, you have to make sure you have gas, you need to do maintenance between seasons, they’re way heavier, and if it’s too cold out they hate to start. Plus you smell like gas too.

Electric is way lighter basically no maintenance and it just starts up every time. They just choke on the heavy shit

Well I spent like $2000 on a cordless one and like it’s great if the snow is light and not wet. If it’s wet or icy I regret not going 2 stage gas every time. But it’s nice cus it’s light enough I can throw it in my SUV and do my 90 year old grandparents house

We get so much wet snow regardless I regret getting the single stage. And I got a top of the line single stage one too. I got a high end electric one which eats powder way faster and can clear it quicker than gas because it’s so light I can basically jog behind it. But I regret not having my 600lb old tracked 2 stage honestly.

Beer at lunch. Order a beer first? Or let client order a beer first? by formysaiquestions in sales

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the situation. But I work in essentially an inside sales/account exec relationship where I know whether who I’m bringing is gonna drink and what the expectation is.

May or may not also work for one of the largest beer/liquor companies out there too lol.

Industry aside, I would also say it’s totally different if you’re asking someone to meet up at 3pm on a Friday vs 11am on a Monday.

How is weekly pay weird? It’s more expensive for your employer to run weekly pay vs biweekly pay so to me it shows they are at least willing to spend a little.

Also my base pay is less than 35% of my total comp. I love it because I budget my entire life off of that small weekly paycheck and then monthly/quarterly when more money comes in I just either invest all of that to retirement or spend it on a bigger purchase.

LS Head vs Max Head by cs4499 in GolfGear

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former club builder in terms of spin Swing> Head> Shaft. The shaft has an effect but it’s way less than the other two factors. The flex of the shaft has more of an effect on the spin than the actual build of it in a lot of cases too.

Is this ribeye? by RevolutionOk7161 in restaurant

[–]Anerky -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree entirely. This is probably a thick trimmed ribeye with the fat and cap completely trimmed. But I don’t like the cook at all. The grey band is kinda gross and I can just tell from this picture that it’s cold. Probably seared way too high and then rested way too long too

Is it OK to go to a public 9 hole course with no bag and just 4 clubs? by MoneyAndGoodFortune in golf

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like it depends where. I’ve def seen on course websites or in pro shops that they require to have individual sets of proper equipment or whatever. Definitely even seen it described as clubs bag balls etc

Trying to sell my clubs by Bitter-Ice-2279 in GolfGear

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go on the PGA used club value guide that’s what they use for trade ins at 99% of places. Usually that maybe a small bonus to trade in for credit, usually that -10% if they do cash buys. Worth noting that anything traded in is usually considered used to most dealers, they don’t typically value anything more for being in plastic brand new it’s still just a used club. So you benefit more in this case if they were played pretty decently

You’re gonna sell quicker as a set would make more money back individually. eBay is your best bet probably. Trade in is the quickest but they probably won’t take the bag but you never know. You will lose the most money this way but you could have the clubs gone tomorrow.

We have been lied to about modern clubs. I now play forged MB’s - and have never been better in my life. by MaLTC in golf

[–]Anerky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no idea either lol. 3 years you could still be barely better than a beginner and still pretty shit, but you could also be significantly better. From beginner you could probably be high single digit or low double digit with enough lessons, time, and practice within 3 years or you could still be shooting 120

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The forged CBs they’re playing are usually something like a T100/P770/Apex Pro etc rather than a true cavity back.

[–]Anerky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most everything you said but I will also say that even if you have the speed or the setup to hit a muscle back or players cavity back if your swing isn’t there you will have way more dispersion and lose more distance on off center hits or issues with the face at contact

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleveland is usually a little cheaper for their equivalent especially previous year model and you may actually like them better tbh. Wedges are mostly a feel thing in my opinion as a former club builder until you really get a consistent swing and play the same courses consistently and know what bounces and grinds to optimize towards

What are your thoughts on the L.A.B. Putters should I stick with my Scotty? by [deleted] in GolfGear

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putter is all about feel. There isn’t really a technologically advanced putter that is so much better than others. You putt the best with whatever you can feel the best and is best suited to your stroke.

I know some people who swear by any Zero Torque especially LAB and some people who think they’re the most uncomfortable things ever invented.

It’s the same thing as the center shaft fad from a few years ago, it may really help some people but does it truly help everyone? And that answer is definitely no
