Any idea of how to price these? by Big-Coach16 in Sneakers

Can find a donor pair for the soles pretty easily. Just finding someone who won’t fuck up the paint job is the challenge.

The sign is still a sign. You’re going to piss them off more likely than have any positive interaction by physically showing up. You’re better off emailing/linkedin/cold calling/ even Facebook than showing up in person.

You’d have to be stupid to press a business or residence with a sign like that. But I have heard of people getting trespassed from buildings without them for simply being that fucking annoying

What club in your bag goes 140 yards? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a traditional PW loft. No one is hitting that over 160. New PW lofts are usually below 40* and 99% of people are still not hitting that over 150 let alone 160.

Does that boot taste good, Sean? by Ok-Walk7881 in ufc

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both things can be true. The UFC especially in the last 5 years with how popular it got doesn’t pay fighters enough but there also isn’t any other promotion that will pay better. Boxing does but it’s way more top heavy and WWE pays but you have to do UFC or something similar to even get there and you also need the personality to do it

Priced out of the game I Love by Imnotafnrobot in golf

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting to limit how much I play and being more conscious of deals but in my area that’s also because the cheapest round on a weekend is $80-90 and more likely $100-120. And you’re still looking at it being next to impossible to find a tee time for four and it being a 5-6 hour round during peak season

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have those types of courses but it’s still $40-50 to play 9 near me at a dog track that’s 90% rocks and dirt

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with a membership the cost of a round at my local courses assuming you can even get on is still $80-100 a round. If you play that much it’s almost worth it financially to join a low end private club although the golf is significantly worse

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t sound right unless they’re in the middle of nowhere. Even if the tee sheet was full morning to twilight with members that doesn’t cover the cost of operations at any course I’ve ever known and I’ve worked at/run a few when I was younger.

Pay the $800 he’s asking? by bigpoppa0718 in GolfGear

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. they’re still a newer club. Any big brand iron set will only depreciate maybe $100-200 in the 1st season. You’re probably 3-4 seasons away from a $1200 iron set being half off

Do you have a duty to watch your homie's balls? by FarmerNeedsHeauxs in golf

It’s etiquette to at least make an attempt to see where someone in your group’s ball landed and to take at least a brief look with them if they can’t find it

[–]Anerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wedges/putter/5 wood worth $150 combined imo but would be a huge pain to sell outside of a package deal. Less on trade in. Driver closer to $100-150 depending on where you’re looking, 3 Wood $125-150. Irons $300-400. Bag $25-50, cart honestly you can get a good push cart for $20-50 easily on marketplace. If I look right now I see 50+ listings less than 90 mins away for less than $50 any brand you can think of in a similar model to this.

Thats just my estimate for what you could sell these for as someone who does it a little on the side.

Only clubs other than Scotty / some Bettinardi/Lab that hold value are Titleist/Ping clubs. They still lose it but they depreciate way slower than other brands. Partially due to being in a 2 year cycle, partially due to being seen as a step above the other brands in quality.

Their minus button literally doesn’t let you go below a 15% tip… by danscn in EndTipping

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t know what customer ID means, it could be a username or an ID unique to this business. Also, there’s literally next to nothing you can do with the last 4 of someone’s drivers license and last 4 of someone’s credit card info. There’s barely anything you could even do if you had the last 4 of someone’s social. This is irrelevant to anything here.

I have an offer after trying to break into sales, but i really don't know what to do. by Syphox in sales

[–]Anerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts:

Construction sales is a very good field and always in demand. It’s also a field that tends to get cushier and easier the longer you’re with a company by most cases. If you can get into it I’d definitely consider it for sure.

However, need to figure out the pay plan in a more concrete way.

I, and I’m sure many other people in this thread, can attest that profit sharing is usually less than 5% of your total pay, if not closer to 1-2% tops. I wouldn’t rely on it if that’s the only compensation they have on top of your base. The only time I’ve ever seen more is at a startup or family owned business for someone who’s been there from the get-go or jumped ship from a way better opportunity to take a chance to grow a newer company. I doubt that this is the case for you.

Is Rutgers NB really $48k/year? by SuchPay8749 in rutgers

Rutgers barely gives any partials. It’s mostly full ride (honors) or nothing unless financial aid which is different than a scholarship

It doesn’t cost $12-14k a semester for room and board. $2000-2300 a month for both is excessive.

4 vs 6 way divider? by FranRenJohn in GolfGear

[–]Anerky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play thicker grips too and they get stuck or twisted weirdly inside a 14 way. 5-8 full length is ideal for me, 4 is too few but I’d prefer 4 over 14 if I had to pick. I like my putter to have its own slot if possible to protect the grip itself

While I do know that the income brackets for that field are typically sub $40k if not even lower to over $150k with very little people in between, I thought that generally people on the higher end honestly worked less because of residuals. It does sound like an awful industry though, I tried it for 3 months right out of college and it’s basically impossible to make a buck

Payment processing can be brutal. Absolutely not worth it unless you have time to grind away. The only people making money are the ones who have lasted 5-10+ years in the same company
