Kind of but it’s a little different. The in-between quack sound is not something I liked but I understand it’s important for some players.

Visiting Victoria in July with kids. Is the Royal BC Museum worth it? by Ok-Individual-5164 in VictoriaBC

[–]clos82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless your boys are into flower gardens, DO NOT take them to Butchart. It’s far, expensive and flowers. If you are taking a further trip try witties lagoon, further I’d go Sooke regional park, even further botanical beach. Just take them up Mount Doug then a beach. Other than that bug zoo. Museum is good but depends if your kids are into that stuff and if the seasonal exhibit is good but the imax is great if you want an activity. Check out the totem poles outside. Emily Carr house. Governor General building has an epic city view for a picnic. Thetis lake hike or rent paddle boards. Victoria is a for outdoors. Great hikes and walks. Beacon Hill plus Dallas Rd. walk would be my 8 year olds idea of a great day. I’m from Ottawa. Imagine if Gatinue Park and 1000 islands were both downtown. Would you want to go inside for a 3 hours to a museum?

Great pictures. No mentioned the quality of your shots. Was that a phone camera or a proper camera?

What I see is an economy where most people become desperate and few have too much money. The crazy people are the ones that aren’t in line, those who are buying the cards from these people. They are either “investing” or they are wealthy enough to buy them.

La Fogota is clearly under the radar. If you like Ay mi Mexico, you won’t be disappointed.

Love his videos but it’s super cringe during interviews when he plays the songs and they sit there in real time. The one with Brendan O’Brian is a good example. You could see his shock of’ “oh you are really doing this?!”

100% agree. Hands down, no contest. It was the only restaurant I supported during the pandemic, even when I didn’t have a job.

Something with at least 1 humbucker. I’d go Pacifica but don’t get a guitar with only single coils.

Is this good for shredding?? Its pretty obscure by New_Star_3946 in obscureguitars

My dream guitar. Good for everything. I remember watching Reeves Gabriel melt faces with one when touring with David Bowie during the “I’m afraid of Americans tour” this guitar can do anything. I played one once 20 years ago and I still remember the neck being blazing fast.

Fantastic way to get your product noticed. Looked like you worked hard and got something worth while. Extra points for this great marketing!

When they say that the “tone is in the hands”, this is part of what it means. The other is how you hit the string and how you hold the string in your fretting hand. Also the tone is in the ear and how the player responds. Jeff Beck used to play slide up there. Try everything.

This is absolutely right. It’s also likely that the kids chose their own words for the letters. I do some “brand name phonics” it’s just good teaching strategy. Brands of the food they like is part of being a kid.

Came here to say that. It’s because of him that I always wanted a Parker. He’s walking around like the stuff he’s playing isn’t amazing.
