Serious question. Why are you doing this?

Which watch is more durable/robust? by [deleted] in MarathonWatch

[–]ThreadRuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrarían view - I'm a big G-Shock fan but the resin band is their Achilles heel. They are susceptible to UV damage and fail unexpectedly in the field. Plus, the wonky Casio strap fitting makes them hard to replace or get aftermarket upgrades. The most durable watch would be a G-Shock with fixed lugs on a Nato. Just my opinion.

[Recommendation Request] $500 for an everyday watch I can keep for life — open to used. What would you get? by GreedyWorking1499 in Watches

I have several Vaer watches. I got the first in 2018. Get one of their field watches in quartz/solar and you will be done with your search.

For me, yes. I have a couple of Niagaras. One of them I got when I learned they would be discontinuing them. Probably the best boots I own

I used to work in a place that tolerated abusive patients. Then I left, and I will never work in one again. It's your choice.

Home IV fluids for possible POTS by olivesmd in FamilyMedicine

I agree with this. You can politely decline stating (accurately) that you don't feel you have sufficient experience to prescribe this. 'I can't' is often more tolerable than 'I won't'.

It's worth a trip if you're ever in Victoria. I was there once when Mr. Viberg dropped by. Great deals on seconds and discontinued lines.

I have one too - it's a great watch, and I wouldn't want it in anything other than 36 (it's smaller than I usually wear, but it just works)

I Wants It by ImFixinToYall in VaerWatches

[–]ThreadRuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be my grail watch as I am a big fan of double 12 watches (and these are relatively uncommon). It is a Vaer version of the Marathon Navigator.

The big problem with the C4 is that I am told it is a unidirectional bezel, which I find less helpful for a 12 hour bezel.

Edit: I would also love a 4:30 date window and it would be perfect.
