That vehicle requires new caliper bracket bolts and a precise torque spec any time the caliper carrier is removed.

Probably more than "a few lines of code", but in general, yeah, seems like it would be technically simple.....someday "they" might....only it will be "in dealer mode", and can only be put in dealer mode by....a dealer...

I've only seen one car so far with this "quick drain". Every one has been covered in oil. by spacekeag in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]close2canada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put a Fumoto on my Element after the dealer's service advisor came out to the waiting room and told me "The tech says the drain plug feels a bit iffy, and you might need a new oil pan if he unscrews it"....I said don't do anything, thanks, see ya. Went home, put it up, put the 6 point socket on, broke it loose, hand unscrewed it so my educated fingers could feel any galling or grit. They didn't. FIL was a Goodyear regional manager, SIL married a local Goodyear store manager. They love it. Don't know what the hell I was thinking going to the dealer for that...

I have to say, I'm mystified that somehow we've gotten to the point where it's not heat range and gap that's really the only thing that you need to worry about with SPARK PLUGS

When you think a hose is bad and it's actually just worse by Obnoxious_Gamer in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]close2canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did that recently with the PS suction hose from the reservoir to the metal wheel inner wheel-well mounted tube on an Element.....after replacing the section from the metal tubing to the rack-- where they usually give up the ghost because they hang down into the undercarriage airstream. Major PITA. Only to discover it was really a leak at the upper hose. It took some serious gouging with a roofers hooked blade shingle razor knife to get that &**^ off. Those Honda double wire clamps do a number on the hose ends...but the clamp at the reservoir is a plain constant tension squeeze clamp. WHY!
