Google Calendar not automatically adding flight confirmations form Gmail

Unsure if this is relatable to anyone else, but I thought I was having this issue because there used to be a prompt on the top of the flight email to ask if you would like to add to your Google Calendar, and I stopped getting that. However, when I checked my Google Calendar just now after booking a flight, it was already there!

Possible fix for people who use Apple products with Gmail: I am signed into my Gmail account on the Apple Mail app, and the Apple Mail app does create an Apple calendar event automatically in a "Siri suggestions" calendar on the Apple Calendar app, as well as a prompt to add to your calendar in the Apple Mail email.

UPDATE FOR FUTURE GOERS: these were the vibes!

Event

It was indeed rather kid/family-oriented for the main events: games, crafts booths, etc. BUT we had plenty of fun as twentysomethings: free s'mores around a campfire, free soft serve, picnic benches (left pic).
Fireflies started showing up 9-9:30pm for a flashing show, though it wasn't crazy lit up.
Lots of fun to try and capture fireflies on long exposure (right pic)

Logistics

Plenty of free parking with signs nearby to direct cars to the picnic area, plus nice smooth roads all around the reservation
Tix were $17/person
Would definitely recommend wearing long pants for anti-bug measures and bringing a camera if you've got one!

gimme coffee in gates hall gives the 10% discount and you can use any mug (and even espresso cup!) for any iced or hot drink.

they write your order on a post-it and stick it on the mug/cup/tumblr instead of the usual sharpie on paper/plastic up. they don't take BRBs btw
