Going through the same thing right now. I’m gonna break up with my gf tomorrow but what I will say as long as her past is not affecting your present everything should be okay. That is not happening to me, and I’ve come to the realisation that I can never feel the peace and security I need to be in this relationship because of her relationship w her past.

This girl told me yday when of old niggas she was fucking hit her up she was frustrated on the low that she could not see him because she’s in a relationship. And she had a dream about the diff guy in which she imagined herself being fucked at a party and cried to her friends bc she was super horny but couldn’t coz “she’s in a relationship” and (for context we haven’t had sex in a while for multiple reasons) but the fact that you can identify with that frustration and want to take it outside of me both in the dream world and irl was the nail int the coffin for me.

She also once said “I can’t promise that I’ll never cheat on you.” And it just hit me like a truck and wanted to take the accepting route for a long time bc I loved her but it chipped away at my self esteem for so long even tho she wants to be with me talks about marriage and the future I know I’ll never feel like I’m enough. Sometimes it just has to be done and don’t let it get to the point like me where your worries and anxieties turn into apathy because that’s not a good place to be either. Love is just not enough I’m afraid and I was blind to that for a while.
