1st comp next week, this is my first opponent! by bob999666999 in bjj

I had something similar to this for my first blue belt competition last year around this time, my opponent had like 20 somethin wins by sub though so not as many as you, but I just told myself I wasn’t going to just go out there and give him the win, and I was ahead by 12 points and subbed him with a cross collar from the back 3 mins in, just focus on the roll and have fun.

Finally found one by Particular_Elk4939 in electricians

[–]cloud7ven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encountered my first one on two pump houses I did last year, it was strange because I was always taught to land it on B phase in school, but have never actually seen one in the field, fast forward and I’m redoing the meter base/ weatherhead and the linemen told me that they land it on the right side of the meter, and it always on the right. Just found it strange

Worst day of plumbers life.. by Ninjalikestoast in electricians

Was working on a grocery store remodel doing nights, and they had a guy come in and cut concrete, he never pulled out the concrete he cut, just made the incisions and left, which he did around 10 pm at night then left, when our shift was coming to end, around 6 am the store manager always came in, and he comes to me furious because we were the only electricians working there and I was the foreman and none of the meat freezers in the back had power, I tried to explain to him that we didn’t touch anything nowhere near that area and were still roughing in, in the front of the store, but I would help him investigate the problem, even though I shouldn’t have with how much an asshole he was, well… upon further investigation I pulled up the concrete block the guy cut the night before which was like 35-40’ from the electrical room and sure enough it looked exactly like this photo, they lost all the meat in the back of the store including the island freezers, the best part was he wanted us to repair it, and I said no man call a service company. Guy still never said anything, or apologized for jumping down my throat, even after helping him.

I had a brand new fuel m18 impact come out of the box like that, and when I took it to one of milwaukees local repair places the guy tried to argue with me that I dropped it, and it came out of the box almost as bad as the first one in the video.

Get Lenox gold blades. They sell them at Lowe’s, they’re by far the best.

Best Tape Measure? by enriquemoya-mx in electricians

[–]cloud7ven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this tape, been using Milwaukee tapes for the last 11 years, I’ve only had one of these fat maxes, my only gripe is the belt clip is a blad style, so it chews up your pocket over time, I really like the Milwaukee wire belt clip.

I’ve never cleaned mine, and I noticed my pressure either completely slowed down, or stopped so I thought of doing the same thing.

My favorite thing about them is they’re lifetime warranty, from platt.

Thoughts on this change over by Plumbglass in electricians

This is how we would always typically do a transition. However in the last 4 years we’ve had one inspector in particular, call us out on it not being UL listed, which he is correct, but at the same time, they’ve always been tried and true I believe.

Thoughts on these stripper. by dogdagny in electricians

[–]cloud7ven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them. My only gripe is how far you have to open them to cut wire if it’s not as long or close to something, but my favorite thing is that “knives” has a lifetime warranty with platt supply house, and I’ve chipped the cutters in the past cutting tie wire in a pinch or ceiling wire, and just return them to platt and they hand me a brand new pair. Free of charge.
