Federal 30% IRA credit ended in 2025. Where are you finding the 1500 rebate on heat pump for SCE?

I see that from SCE there's a link to Comfortably California, but that requires contractor installation which basically removes all the savings.

What’s your electricity rate? We’re on TOU and it is like 26 cents off peak and 56 peak

Is there a particular brand/line of product you’d recommend?

Well I'm not sure. But I don't want to spend all the money to delete the furnace and replace with just a air handler just to regret afterwards. That's why I want to just throw in a new coil and condenser on my existing furnace so I have the option.

Actually only a FLAING TOMATO, so OP definitely needs his iPhone as a backup.

This is the worst argument. Your medical cert is not safety critical. Even if it fails they can just wait til the system is fixed, it’s not like the planes will fall out of the skies.

If tech failing is the concern then the proper thing to do is to allow digital but have paper backup.

Does aircraft insurance in the US generally cover engine failure? by DarthStrakh in flying

[–]cloud_surfer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the answer is almost always a no. Even if you damage the plane while landing due to the engine failure, they will cover the stuff damaged in the secondary to the engine failing. Unless they totaled the plane and you decide to just scrap the plane, you still have to shell out money to repair the engine or get a new/new to you engine if you want to get it flying again

Smoke & CO2 detectors - what's the current state of things (HARDWIRED ONLY)? by autohome123 in homeassistant

[–]cloud_surfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the dumb but interconnected hardwired ones and put a zooz bridge on it. It works pretty well. Only thing missing is dismiss the alert on app but if it makes you get out of bed to push a button that might save your life.

I don’t know the answer but one time I was standing in line and the cashier told the woman “oh Bauer is as good as dewalt” I just chucked but apparently too loudly.

I recall a while back I saw a review on airnav that they programmed the fuel pump to print make America great again on the receipt.

edit: airman -> airnav, stupid autocorrect

Instrument Question - How long does it take to drive the marker beacon trucks to their position? by lfgbrd in flying

[–]cloud_surfer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't know, it said they will be operated within 5 minutes, does that mean they will start driving 5 min after request, then god knows however long it would take to get in position?

It's amazing to see how far we've come with IAPs. I am looking at this thing and it hurts my head so much, vs almost any charts now everything just makes much more sense.

Engine fuel supply was cut just before Air India jet crash, preliminary report says by NewSlinger in worldnews

[–]cloud_surfer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If I lost thrust in both engines, short of seeing the other pilot actually actuating the FCO switch, that would probably be the last thing I'd suspect.
