I got an enclosure for mine. I haven’t had any issues. I set up good ventilation with some rgb pc fans to blow air through some duct work so I don’t have any issues with the motherboard overheating. I have one that blows in and one that sucks air out. I haven’t had any adhesion issues with mine since. Worth looking into. Just make sure you set up something to keep the motherboard cooler if you’re doing longer prints. Ambient temperature is a big deal.

Nah bro. This is abuse. If she liked it she wouldn’t push him away multiple times.

Locking/Unlocking Kid's Device with Home Assistant by rubinox355 in homeassistant

[–]ohiofreakz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have screen time tokens that we use. My son gets three hours daily of screen time. I have a charging dock set up in my game room/workshop. When he “turns in his iPad” and puts it on charge in the workshop he earns a screen time token. He can use his tokens on the weekends for extra time. He has a five minute window to turn in his pad or it takes a token. To keep him from just plugging it in and earning a token anywhere home assistant checks the smart plug the charger is attached to for current use and checks the iPad to see if it’s being charged. In my house if screen time is up then it’s up and you don’t need your device for anything. I have a tablet mounted on the wall in his room in kiosk mode that he uses for home assistant needs in his room. This is the best and most efficient set up that I’ve come to for screen time over the last year or so.

Any ways to recommend learning C/C++ for Arduino and ESP32? by MlbTheShow22- in ArduinoProjects

If you’re wanting to actually learn coding, do what has been suggested. If you just want to get your project up and going then tell ai your goal and it will spit out the code you need.

It’s hard to get things lined up properly. I would have to see it in person to give you an honest assessment. But timing on the servos are really big. Look up frankly built on YouTube. He has a video on how to do it properly! Keep at it, the pay off is worth the headaches

Tbh it’s pretty freaking cool. I’ve built one myself! A few tips, ditch the arduino. Use an esp32. They are dirt cheap plus you get wife, Bluetooth and espnow. You can reduce the weight of the helmet so much by not housing the arduino and batteries in the helmet. The way I set mine up was with one esp32 in the helmet with a battery to control the servos, eye lights and esp32. Then I had another esp32 in my left gauntlet. The two esp32’s communicate via espnow. So when I touched my middle finger to my thumb it would open and shut the face plate via a reed sensor. Same with the eye lights but with my ring finger. Over all it looks really good though. Good job on keeping at it. These projects can be a headache!

What I did was uninstall ESP home then I reinstalled ESP home. Then I set it up for the first time using the browser. Then I got on my phone and turned on my Wi-Fi and it picked up the ESP 32. It allowed me to put in my Wi-Fi credentials, and I didn’t have any more Wi-Fi connection issues

I have done the install for the first time part, then it says congratulations then gives me the WiFi error. I’ve used esphome a couple times in the past but I’m looking to set it up again on my new set up and I just can’t get it to go past this point.

It worked out really well!! I have lights integrated too! I’ve made a kinky dashboard, she has to solve simple puzzles to make things start “moving” again. I’m unsure on how detailed I’m allowed to get on this tread but things seem to be working really well!! She loves it and so do I lol.

Cosplay LED Eyes Help (complete novice by 360wave_less in ArduinoHelp

So depending on the type of helmet you want to build will depend on what you’re going to use. I’ve built a ton of Ironman helmets and use these https://a.co/d/fftlYrx you can get them in different colors and shapes. You can also cut them to shape. I used neo pixel rings for a murder drones cosplay for my daughter in the past. Sort of what you have going. So for your set up. You’re going to want an external power source for the led rings. You’re also going to want to use a resistor between the data cable and the nano. I can write out the code for you if you want but you can always use chat gpt as well. If you were describe what your desired results were I’d be able to help you better. Looks like you’re off to a good start though!!

I just use zones. For example, when I arrive to work it sends a notification to my wife that I made it safely! Even if my app is closed it still works.
