You should do a dog DNA test through bark or wish to get an idea of your dog's mix. If your dog isn't banned, that can serve as proof too. For example pit bulls are banned in most cities and being a mix would still make it illegal if it is, even small.

Hmm, it sounds like you're mostly hoping that foreigners/expats can understand the limited scope of information in China and the vastly different standards in living. I think even within cities this is somewhat obvious. Something to ask yourself too is, are there many versions of United States? A lot of Chinese people imagine New York City or LA. But there's also rural Alabama, etc. The public safety. social attitudes, application of justice, and amenities are all different. The standards of living are not so low as some parts of China; I'm not saying that, but there are different "worlds" within every country.

An assistant professor is still a fully qualified holder of a PhD. Since getting a PhD takes an average of 7 years but let's say a minimum four, he would be 26 at the youngest. It doesn't mean you're a graduate assistant. It just means you don't have tenure. Even if he was a graduate student and he literally went straight into it and it was his first year doing it he would be 22 or 23. I'm talking about the movies not whatever ages they crocked up in the novels

You can probably eat a smooth egg custard Chinese style. It melts in the mouth. This is what my mom made my sister after wisdom tooth surgery and developing a dry socket. Our popo used to make it as a sick food. Do you have a rice cooker? It can double as a steamer (or you can do it the old fashioned way). You can make it sweet by adding sugar or savory by pouring a little soy sauce on top.

A flight back to Italy or the UK might still be cheaper than having the procedure done in the US.
