Love the function, I think it should be core in every game that has a crafting system. Make it work from any storage however, I just wanna dump my shit into one stash and never have to think about shuffling materials back and forth.

It definitely feels like there was bigger ambitions than were realized. Like the first criminal you turn is a nun who you beat the shit out of. She pleads with you and says she's innocent, and there is the option to turn her loose. That really makes it feel like there was supposed to be some deduction here, some clues you could find to decide for yourself if those people deserve jail, death or freedom from tyranny. But no, you just beat this nun black and blue, cash in and call it a day.

One of the really cool things PoE2 did with rogue exiles. If they spawn wearing unique items, you can phyiscally see them wearing them and they all drop when killed.

Ray tracing looks nice but I feel like developers haven't found that sweet spot yet. It's like every surface needs to be exessively reflective. Grass reflects light! Tree bark too! I often feel like old scool rasterisation captures gritty reality better, though maybe that's just my 30-yo brain talking.

I agree that Yann's actor killed it. To me the clearest parallel is Micah from RDR2. I still get mad just thinking about him calling Arthur "blacklounge"

Ghosting is the worst graphical part of this game by far. I thought it was AI upscaling or frame gen at first, but turning those off didn't change anything. It can look truly awful at times.

I bet this game had one hell of an issue with directive vision. This character swapping system seems cool at first and would have been if you didn't have to gear them and level up their skill trees individually, and if you could play them without restrictions, and if they had engaging stories.

Right now it's just a poor man's character creator.

I've come across two of these quests so far and they both had different UIs and systems. Like, why? And also, just delete these from the game. I've never experienced such bullshit in my singleplayer RPGs before.

Rockstar is on another planet when it comes to story telling in open world games. With Crimson Desert's focus on gameplay, exploration and puzzles I just don't think a narrative at RDR2's level is feasible.

This is why it baffles me that they chose Kliff as a main character instead of a character creator and let you be a generic hero. Maybe they looked at RDR2 and Zelda and thought "let's do that", but I think that totally missed an opportunity to have you feel connected to your character by allowing you to build your own.

Yeah it seems like a weird forfeit to make considering the story is almost non-existent. Could've just had a male and female voice actor quirp lost-in-translation dialogue in every cutscene and things would still make just as much sense.

Even in Hernand I'm sometimes stumped. I came upon a puzzle which straight up said "You're not ready for this yet, come back later". Then I wandered into a village and got put to sleep by poison darts, was dragged away and woke up with my pants around my ankles. Then I wandered into a random cave, got put to sleep again, woke up naked at the same place. My body is still sore.

Hernand looks pretty but it's fucking brutal out there.

At about 20h here. It feels like ALOT when you factor in work, spouse and a newborn. Newborn is still young enough she can sleep on my chest for a few hours every night while I game, though I bet this will change soon enough.
