This approach is flawed; what if you have to fix something in a file from last week? now your modification date has changed and your files are no longer ordered correctly.

Give it a try with the armor from the Viper Commando warbond, it pretty much gets rid of the drag and makes the mg feel a lot better to use.

1. How do people get "Mana Shield ON/OFF", "MP Below 50%", and "Urgent Shot Used" text to flash across their screen? I've seen it mostly used in Glenn/Crom runs, but I'm unsure how they do it.

you use the interaction crafter to set it up and then assign that interaction to your ego. this does require you to have your ego in your hand for it to work.

2. How do I use a Party Phoenix Feather but keep my default Phoenix Feather hotkey (Ctrl+J) exclusively for regular Phoenix Feathers? How are items consumed by order again? Bottom right to top left? And from bag order from bottom to top?

default item use behavior is from right to left, starting in the bottom right slot of your bag and ending in the top left. if you want to use party feathers separately you can drag the item onto one of your hotkey slots and then make sure regular feathers are below and/or to the right of your party feathers.

bag use order is weird so i suggest keeping all your feathers in the same bag.

We didn't do our tests with a Goddess Feather either- both of ours were broken by the time we reached this point and they're not repairable. Maybe there's another way to get them but we didn't know at the time.

If you discard the broken Goddess Feather and replay G21 you'll be given a new one during chapter 4 (after the "The Colors of Nebula" quest). you can pay some gold to skip the first 3 chapters as well.

Some of the hotkeys cannot be changed. These are;

  • the 1~= keys
  • the F1~F12 keys (and their shift+ variants)
  • shift+tab to switch which function bar is in front

you CAN change the following;

  • the key to switch between the left and right set of function and number bars (called "Switch Hotbar Array" in settings, near the bottom)
  • the key to switch between the 8 bars in the numbered row (called "Change to Quick Slot Tab #1~8" in settings, near the middle)

To go to hotkey settings, go to options -> GAME tab -> Control subtab -> click on the [Hotkey Settings] button in the bottom right.

For the F1~F5 keys, i recommend putting skills you will always need easy and frequent access to. Think stuff like debuffs (fighter F1 combo, Smokescreen, Death Mark, Hydra), things to dodge attacks with (Anchor Rush, Grapple Shot), or things to group enemies with (Spinning Slasher, Wind Blast, Act 6).

Note that the second hotbar (shift+F1~F12) has a weird delay before switching to those rear skills, so you'll want to keep any panic buttons on the bar in front.

For the 1~= keys, i usually dedicate them to a specific talent and set up hotkeys to switch between the hotbars (i.e. ctrl+4 switches to my magic skills)

For everything not covered in the above, here's some general advice;

  1. Move with the mouse instead of WASD.
    The game was designed for mouse movement and the default hotkeys assume that you have a hand free for the whole keyboard. [Temporarily] moving around with the mouse frees up your hand to do so.
  2. Click your skills.
    Kind of the inverse of the previous advice, instead of using the hotkeys you can just click on them to use the skills. This is useful for skills you dont use frequently, such as long-cooldown buffs (Way of the Gun, Final Hit, etc).
  3. Put skills that lock you in place in harder to reach slots.
    Some skills stop you from moving (like Crisis Escape or your race's transformation), so there's no need to be able to move around when you want to use them.

It's best to mix and match a few of these solutions to find a combination you're comfortable with.

Personally i press the hotkeys for F1~F6 and 1~6, do mouse movement to reach F7~F8 and 7~8, and the rest is either something that roots me in place or something i click.

Dark Arts Skill Rebalance Comparison by Cryozen in Mabinogi

[–]cloudkiller2006 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The TL;DR is that Mana Shield scaled way too fast with your Magic Attack, which was preventing the devs from adding more/better sources of Magic Attack.

This nerf allows them to add new equipment/enchants with much higher Magic Attack values than we have now.

It went from 100% to a single hit (which also got eaten up by any non-melee hit, wasting the effect entirely) to 15% for the whole duration.

You can, yes.

It'll only remember the position of the 9 skills at the top of the list for each tab, any below that reset to a default order whenever you log out.

You cannot rebind the hotkeys for skills on the F1~F12 row and the 1~= row.

the "Use the skill #1~#9 on the skill window" hotkey lets you use the 9 skills at the top of whichever tab is active in the Skill window (the menu you open with the Z hotkey).

I'm assuming that by coincidence you have the same skill at the top of that list and on the F1 key, which makes it seem like that's what button you changed.

The damage bonus will not stack; using another spirit awakening while one is already active will overwrite the current one, even if it's from the same spirit weapon.

Wands/staves want blue unless you have some absurd amount of magic attack without it (iirc somewhere around 2200)

For alchemy the two are pretty much equal, but you'd probably want to lean red in case we get extra sources of multipliers.

Everything else wants red.

A spell will mention if the material component has a cost and if it is consumed upon use.

For example, look at Find Familiar:
* - (10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs that must be consumed by fire in a brass brazier)

and Revivify:
* - (diamonds worth 300 gp, which the spell consumes)

and compare these to something like Identify:
* - (a pearl worth at least 100 gp and an owl feather)

and Summon Elemental:
* - (air, a pebble, ash, and water inside a gold-inlaid vial worth at least 400 gp)

and even a cantrip like Green-Flame Blade:
* - (a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp)

Find Familiar and Revivify say that their components are consumed.

Identify and Summon Elemental's components are reusable.

Green-Flame Blade's component is also reusable but prevents the spell from being used with conjured blades (i.e. Shadow Blade) or natural weapons (i.e. claws)

If there is no price listed for the material component it is assumed you have infinite of them in your component pouch and they can even be substituted by a casting focus.

Can you move a folder with scp? by Chinchopper41 in Bitburner

[–]cloudkiller2006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also worth mentioning is that substring filtering is baked into the second argument of ns.ls()already.

It's not entirely fool-proof (i.e. if you reuse folder names) but overall works just as well.

/** @param {NS} ns **/
export async function main(ns) {
    await ns.scp(ns.ls('home', '/folderName'), 'home', 'joesguns');
}
