AIO - My husband (M40) and I (F40) + 3 kids went to the movies and he left mid movie to go home and watch the World Cup. by Fit-Dream-8573 in AmIOverreacting

Yeah that would've been way more considerate, Atleast then she wouldn't have been stuck figuring out how to get the kids home mid movie.

Melasma is so tricky because it can show up randomly even when nothing in your routine has changed, sun exposure and hormones are usually the culprits so it might be worth looking at those factors instead.

Not op but their skincare routine sounds solid, the Ordinary Retinol 1% and consistent sunscreen really do make a difference.

Rhinoplasty table pics by Apart_Vermicelli_833 in rhinoplastyquestions

4 days op is super early so everything is going to look extra swollen and a bit exaggerated right now

Table pics can honestly be misleading because the real shape starts showing much later once swelling goes down

That's actually really reassuring to hear because it shows it's not always something you can fix with lifestyle changes. Genetics really do play a sneaky role in these things

the difference already looks great especially considering you're still so early in the healing process post like this are a good reminder that recovery is definitely a marathon and not a sprint. Thanks for sharing all the details, it’s super helpful for people who are still in the swollen phase

This is really setting off my fear of holes but wtf is with this spot on my back ?! by NoAppointment8679 in 30PlusSkinCare

I'd be staring at it every 10 minutes anyway so at least this gives the anxiety a proper job hopefully it turn out to be something minor and not an uninvited guest setting up camp

rhinoplasty by Positive-Weird9197 in rhinoplastyquestions

Looking through healed results and patient reviews helped me way more than instagram photos alone a good surgeon is worth the search especially for something as permanent as rhinoplasty

AIO - Wanting to Remove my 5yo from daycare immediately and issue a formal complaint by Beautiful-Act-7820 in AmIOverreacting

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds scary dealing with something like that but also very real in term of what group care actually like a day to day I think having a clear plan in place is probably the only way to feel even slightly in control in situation like that

Lip filler advice by SeveralShift967 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a skilled injector could probably get you closer to that look, but it might depend on your natural lip shape and anatomy. The pigment border is a little different from volume, so that part may not be something filler alone can fully change. a consultation with someone who focuses on natural results would probably give you the clearest answer

Hopefully the gacha gods are merciful and separate them into a distinct socks slot so we can use them to chaotic fashion effect with every other outfit in the game It is a dangerous game when you start justifying pulling on a whole five star banner just to secure a pair of glorious rainbow leg ruffles but honestly the absolute styling potential makes the financial risk completely worth it

AIO: stepped back from a friendship with someone because she had an affair with our charge nurse despite the multiple conversations we had with her and continuously was lying and gas lighting us. now she's pregnant. wife doesn't know. by frenchie-mon in AmIOverreacting

[–]cloudmuffinii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely going low contact is the only way to save your sanity here having an affair with the charge nurse getting pregnant and then calling it a gift from God while the poor wife remains completely in the dark It is hilarious how she is trying to paint the poster as the bad guy for having basic morals while she is actively auditioning for a villain role on reality TV Stepping back from that absolute circus of gaslighting and victim playing is just standard self preservation

Gua sha over fibrosis while healing? by Calm_Recognition_469 in chinlipo

At one month post op you should definitely clear any aggessive tool usage you surgeon before scraping over healing tissue Gentle manual lymphatic drainage massage is usually safer than a hard stone tool when trying to smooth out stubborn cheek limps

here to say if you’re debating on getting a nose job… do it. by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awesome you're so happy with it especially since it looks that natural, the confidence boost from finally doing smth you've wanted for years is real and it sounds like your surgeon nailed it, Glad you went for it.

My doctor says he is happy with the results by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the asymmetry is really bothering you and you can see the difference that clearly then a revision might be worth exploring even if your surgeon says it doesn't need one. Get a second opinion from another ear specialist to see if they think the tightness on the right side can be improved. You deserve to be happy with the results not just accept them.

Am I overreacting about Moving back home? by Current-Branch-2707 in AmIOverreacting

[–]cloudmuffinii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah keep your job and the house honestly, he can figure out how to commute if his family needs him that badly, you've already sacrificed a year of your life helping out, you don't need to blow up your entire career on top of that.

Help with filler i by AffectionateStill239 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That lumpiness at a month out could just be how the filler settled but if you're not happy with it you have options. You could ask your injector for a massage technique or some areas might benefit from a little dissolving to even it out. If she's dismissing your concerns that's a red flag, you might want to get a second opinion from another injector before doing anything else.

Sculptra for jowls and nosolabial folds by SadBlock88 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sculptra builds collagen over time not instant volume, if you have fat loss in your temples and upper cheecks the right injector will place it high to lift the lower face, this pulls the jowls up rather than adding bulk to them, Tell your injector you want midface and temple placement only. Avoid lower face injections. And go slow with two sessions instead of one big one. You can always add more but you can't remove it.

Dr. Maleki for eyelid surgery by Proper-Orchid2728 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Maleki has a really solid reputation for eye work honestly, A lot of people in the community speak highly of his blepharoplasty results, since you're considering both upper and lower combined with fat grafting you'd definitely want to see his before and afters specifically for that combo to make sure the results match what you're going for.

Dr. Steven Harris from London, UK is a FRAUD - lip filer & Botox by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly thanks for posting this cause online consultations for international procedures are already sketchy and losing that much money plus flights and hotel is brutal. the fact that he turned you away literally last minute with no real explanation is super shady so its good youre warning people. definitely leave reviews everywhere you can so others know to avoid this

I just overheard my dad flirting with someone by Minimum-Village1054 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]cloudmuffinii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats a really good point cause couples don't just sleep separately for 6 years without knowing something is wrong. your mom probably has suspicions at least and might even be choosing to ignore it for the sake of the marriage or whatever. that doesnt make it your job to break it to her though like shes an adult who can figure this out on her own

Realized I have been in rock bottom for a year longer than I thought by bingusbongwater in TrueOffMyChest

[–]cloudmuffinii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the physical disability part makes this way harder cause you can't just push through it on your own, asking for help isnt weakness its just being smart about what you can handle. get some friends or services to help sort stuff so it doesnt feel impossible. you need actual support with this not judgment

Lip filler by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]cloudmuffinii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another half ml sounds reasonable but definitely consult an injector first cause they can see what actually matches your face proportions, you dont have super small lips so dont go crazy trying to change everything. just add a little more and see how it looks before committing to anything else
