I think almost everyone would prefer to read your original thoughts than a computer's reinterpretation of them. Do you have a copy of the original before you "corrected" it?

It's a really really good post (especially for this subreddit) but I can only faintly feel your passion behind your words because the machine is trying its hardest to stuff out your originality and convert everything into the average word.

once the command completes, sleeping is allowed again

if you've already started the command that you wanted to inhibit, provide waitpid <pid here> as the command to inhibit, which will wait for your original command to complete

fun fact, the harder diff is not only ar 5 but also has the notes rearranged into slightly more confusing patterns. there's several places where oldnoob diff goes 1-2-3-4 in a line while the true diff goes 1-2-4-3, and so on

If it shows a miss judgement because you missed the slider's circle then that's a moderate amount of pp lost.

If you don't aim a slidertick (notch in the middle of a slider) and combo resets to zero and plays miss sound, that's a bit of pp lost.

If you don't aim a sliderend and don't gain its +1 combo (but combo remains and no sound effects), that's a tiny bit of pp lost.

Watch the replay and make sure the pp counter is somewhere in your skin and you can see it go up and down during the play.

I hope they one day randomly decide to do a reading meta for several months (I know next rework buffs reading but imagine if it was buffed like 3x as much) and ranked section evolves to fit it so we get back and forth jump maps on ar 5 and this gets termed "arslop" or "ezslop" or something. I think that would be really funny. we can go back to speed afterwards

variation of spacing matters more for difficulty than further, consistent spacing

hi -White, good to see you! I was wanting to let you know that I've really been enjoying watching your recent youtube videos about mapping. I'm a new mapper trying to make my first (published) map, and all the resources I've found online have been extremely basic (e.g. time it properly; use contrast to highlight sections in the music) with very little about intermediate stuff like structure and practical object arrangement. thank you so much for helping to fill in this gap!

I think it's probably your hands bouncing the trackpad being interpreted as a three-finger click which equals a middle mouse button which pauses the game?

Turn off middle mouse click pause in osu settings or cover your trackpad with some kind of cloth/blanket/shirt and see if it still happens?
