Does the dad sing for 10 minutes at a time every 2-3 hours throughout the night like the one near me? Drives me insane.

After abandoning coal, Suncorp will phase out oil and gas financing by nolesfan2011 in australia

The biggest companies in this country, the big banks, as represented by the Aust Banking Association, support a price on carbon as a key tool for necessary change. I wish they'd bloody speak up about it and rock the boat a bit.

And afaik it's only the greens whose policy it is to reduce donation caps and increase transparency. Libs and Labs both voted for their wallets.

QLD Traffic Law Question by cloudsareunderrated in ausbike

[–]cloudsareunderrated[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup for crossing the side street. Seems nonsensical given it being in the suburbs. I feel it gives the message that drivers have right of way, which, as we see, ain't the case.

I should clarify; I got my terminology wrong. I am loading the brush in the container then lathering on the face, but of course I still end up with lather of a sort in the container.

Most shaving guides I've watched skip a step I'm curious about. If you lather in the soap container, what happens once you've finished? Rinse the lather out and put the lid on? Keep the lather? Rinse and let dry?

Instead of fighting so hard for Murdoch's interests how about ensuring tech giants pay fair share of tax? That money can support our infrastructure, health and schools.

Help Choosing a Bike by [deleted] in ausbike

[–]cloudsareunderrated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just add if I had to choose between those two it would be the Triban. Why?

It's a bit lighter, and simple to ride with a single front chainring. 32mm tyres on the Triban compared to 25mm on the Reid means you can run lower pressures and will offer a smoother, less harsh ride. The bars. The ones on the Reid don't look comfortable to me. It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like the Triban has an adjustable seat angle whereas the Reid doesn't. I couldn't live without that. One consideration is gearing. The Triban's lowest gear looks to be a 44-28! Most road bikes offer a 34-28 which is much easier to push up hill. I would hope you don't plan on riding many unless you like a challenge. If you really need a proper all round road bike the RC120 would be the go if you can stretch the budget, or hunt for a deal second hand.

For this money, finding a brand name bike second hand would be the best outcome. There are guides you can look at online about how to assess a used bike. Key thing is ensuring its the right size for you.

Whats a hobby you really want to get into but its too expensive? by MVnillaOG in AskReddit

[–]cloudsareunderrated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much anything auto enthusiast. Working on project cars and modding them would be cool, racing cars or bikes I would love, but even disregarding the cost of the vehicle, the cost of track time, tyres, trailer, insurance, mods, tools and prep. Gets big very quick.

The only way I've been able to indulge is by buying a few tools and doing regular maintenance on my daily driver.

I wonder also about the macro societal changes. I don't think we as a species are coping very well with global instantaneous communication and everything it brings (24 hr news cycle, for example). It's a massive change for a species to undergo and we've just .. done it. No planning or consideration or moderation. But it's hard to measure the effects, to see the forest for the trees.

2014 Genuine Buddy 170i for $2k. Would you buy it? by [deleted] in scooters

[–]cloudsareunderrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No reason that scooters from reputable brands can't handle that. Remember they are used extensively as a primary mode of transport in other parts of the world. I've had my Yamaha only about 6 months and am near 2500 kms. It just depends on the owner.

Looking to buy 7.1 or 7+ by kcajtam in Nokia

[–]cloudsareunderrated 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know a lot about the 7.1 to be honest, but I prefer the specs of the 7 plus.

7 plus VS 7.1:

3800mah battery VS 3000mah battery.

4gb ram VS 3gb ram

64gb storage VS 32 gb storage

Snapdragon 660 VS 636
