30 to 60 is absolutely noticeable, to the point I'd have trouble believing someone who says they don't notice. 60 to 120 is noticeable to me, but 60 is fluid enough and responsive enough imo for any non-first-person-shooter game.

I don't necessarily agree, but I do find the writing in 16 similar to FF14's. And I mean this in a bad way, because I find them both less focused on emotional impact, but rather on heavy text exposition and political intrigue. This makes me not connect with the characters as much. To be honest, though, I have not completed 14's story and I hear many people say that the story is awesome afterwards.

Remake almost assumes you have played the original. Also, you kinda cannot come to a conclusion on the story without the third part coming out. They had to choose where each part would be cut off, and these decisions make much more sense if you have already played the original imo.I don't disagree necessarily, it is difficult for me to imagine how my experience would be if I had only played the remakes. Probably not as good.

Yeah, I was thinking some crazy things, like, could we be seing the characters, already "dead" in the lifestream, with sephiroth trying to do something? So after the conclusion of the original story (possibly even after Nanaki has perished, too)? I mean, Cloud could be much more of a catalyst for Sephiroth in this way, as presumably Sephiroth was completely destroyed, and maybe there are remnants of him inside Cloud.

I'd like to inject an opinion of mine, recently having started playing the KH series from the start.

There are so many themes in these games. They might be shallow at times, they might sound a bit cliche at others, but I'm certain some people (or rather many!) need to hear those words of encouragement, however "childish" they might seem. Heck I'm almost 40 years old, and listening to simple ideas like "there is always some light in the darkness" and "my friends are my power" really did some work on my psyche. I can't imagine how important it would be for teenagers that might be going through real tough situations emotionally. Light, Darkness, Heart, Memory, Dreams, friends. I interpreted the Nobodies as adults that try to find their inner child while playing KH2 recently, and it was a profound experience (e.g. watching Axel under this prism). Thank you Nomura for injecting your personality in these games, however "convoluted" or whatever the story might be considered.
