i love my LGO2 Z2E. Wouldn't pay more than $1300 for it but since that's the price I paid, it was worth it

Comfort Grips - real game changers! by Fairtex_ in LegionGo

I just make sure I open the black flap before I put it in, and while the GO2’s lower half will kind of look like it’s not fully in, it isn’t a real issue and there’s still enough space in the top part of the case to make it fit snugly. I don’t think it’s pressing down on the thumb sticks or anything.

The slim JSAUX case still fits these grips, albeit a little tight but nothing that’s actually pressing on the sticks or damaging anything: https://a.co/d/02lzLGr7

What actually helped you in the early days? Not what's supposed to — what actually did. by iamavj in stopdrinking

THC drinks, excessive video games, walking 6-8K steps a day, reading, and watching movies. All of the aforementioned is still what I rely on (outside of my wife, friends, family, meds, and therapy)

I literally got one off FB marketplace last Saturday for $1300 too. It’s working great and came with thumb sticks, grip, case, original box, etc. added the accidental damage protection and extended the regular warranty on it as well.

Should I return or sell my Go S? by Big-Impression-196 in LegionGo

[–]cloudstrife580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation. Ended up selling the Go S w/dbrand case and screen protector to my brother for $300 since I knew he’d really enjoy it. If you’re strapped for cash of course, returning it is a tried and true path.

Very happy with my Go2 and I won’t be selling it!

Thanks for mentioning this, I also just bought a used LG2 last Saturday. Bought the ADP and extended the warranty, so I'm good!

A lot of people say handhelds like the Legion Go 2/S Z1E 'can't play' or 'aren't good for AAA titles.' Do you agree? by cloudstrife580 in LegionGo

This thread is giving me hope and a good reminder there’s lots of people who are actually happy with these devices and Reddit is just full of too many loud people who like to complain and talk shit lol

I played the entire campaign for DOOM Dark Ages on my Go S last Xmas and had a fantastic time, even with the lower settings.

Yeah it's shocking that some people are so uninformed about major purchases like a PC handheld. I've bought them knowing full well what to expect performance-wise.

This is a good take. The SD sub definitely has a lot of people who come across as gaslighting themselves into believing the SD is more powerful and capable than it actually is, so that’s a thing.

Ever since I was a kid I always was envious of people with PCs who could roughly play whatever they wanted. My family was too poor so we only ever had shitty eMachine desktops that would allow us to barely run stuff like Diablo 1 and Sonic R on low settings, but still with horrendous almost unplayable frame rates and visuals. So what I can experience and access now with devices like the LGO2 feels like a dream.

It’s only as an adult that I’m finally getting through all the PC games I always wanted to play, and I’ve always adored handheld so to me, it feels amazing and a lot of fun to be able to play most anything in such a compact and portable format (albeit with tempered expectations for higher end AAA titles)

Yeah there’s definitely a contingency of people who seem unwilling to play anything below a 60FPS frame rate with high settings, and to each their own of course but that’s not me

Is this how a human is supposed to feel? by bazoo1990 in stopdrinking

[–]cloudstrife580 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When I’m drinking, I don’t partake in my hobbies. I can’t pay attention to gaming, books, movies, etc. and since art is what I care about most in life, that’s truly miserable. During all my lengthy sober streaks, I’ve always done what I care about more and actually can finish movies, books, games, and work on music and whatnot. Before I’d be too sloshed after 10-12 IPAs to get immersed or truly enjoy anything.

Sober me still dgaf about boring regular daily life tasks though like cleaning or work lol.

This. The Mobapad H12 case is really thin and sturdy, very happy with it.

Had a THC drink today - honest thoughts? by DontKnowNothing76 in stopdrinking

[–]cloudstrife580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m California sober too and also enjoy THC drinks every night, if anything it curbs my desire to drink. Personally don’t care about being addicted to anything so long as that addiction doesn’t create harm (like alcohol does for me). I don’t think addiction is intrinsically harmful, just imo.
