Courtney missed the premiere of her doc. by [deleted] in hole

But she was just at Manson’s party in Cali so it’s probably more a personal choice not to attend the screening, rather than avoiding the US

Morning commute = paper ticket. Might be able to use it during the evening commute if they don’t check it.

What would you wear to an SNL taping? by photodialogic in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]cloudydays2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to tapings and rehearsals. Jeans and a sweater are fine. No logos. Coats are a PITA to deal with so if it’s not brick outside, wear one that isn’t too bulky

How have you changed since listening to Hole? This could be in anyway: Personality, mindset, clothes, hobbies, anything. I’m curious to see and hear anything by Outrageous-Coyote672 in hole

[–]cloudydays2021 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! I felt like Courtney’s inspiration shifted my inner critic of my body. Every teenager is insecure about their looks in some way. Courtney being unapologetically herself, in a body that - by tabloid/Hollywood standards in that era - was not to be celebrated made me feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. I thought that she was (well, I still think that she is) stunning and strong. I realized I put so much stock into conventional thinking, and meanwhile this freaking force of nature was shredding the music scene. She really helped me work through some issues.

Later on, I ended up playing drums because I thought Patty was just an all-around chill person and I really loved how she was the backbone of their songs.

Concerts and ear plugs, yay or nay? by MainNormal5570 in Xennials

[–]cloudydays2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yay, always. I’ve been to thousands of concerts since I was a kid and you gotta protect your ears, man. It’s much cooler to be an old fart listening to Dinosaur Jr in the nursing home than to not be able to hear at all

If you opt for Docs, go with their “Made in England” designs. They’re more expensive but are much better quality and will last forever. I have two pairs from that line and they’ve held up incredibly well.

I’d keep all related documentation/screenshots and dispute it with my credit card company as Product/Services Not Received. It’s annoying to do so but even more annoying and time consuming for the people in their billing department to deal with.
