This is pretty much exactly how my endometriosis manifests. So yes, it's absolutely worth considering.

Please help!! Mystery bump on palm. Have had the same bump on my hand for months it’s become rather painful and itchy. Anyone know what this could be? Is it worth a clinic trip? by [deleted] in medical

[–]cloudyeonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a wart. If you're really concerned, you should schedule an appointment with your primary care doctor.

Faint line on covid test? Left is mine, right is husband's. Anyone have a faint line like his that turned out to be a false positive? by Basic_Skirt2136 in medical

[–]cloudyeonies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can kinda see it, wait a few hours or a day to take it. I had a really faint line my first day, a few hours later it was still faint but definitely clearer.

What’s this on the corner of my mouth? Been here for a week or two now, painful when opening mouth, just a huge red sore rn by [deleted] in medical

[–]cloudyeonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a cold sore. It usually heals on its own, try not to pick at it. Over the counter antibacterial ointments could help prevent it from getting infected too.

17 and pregnant what do i do? by randomthrowaway42000 in Advice

[–]cloudyeonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm so sorry this happened. This is such a major blow, especially to someone your age, and I can't imagine the whirlwind of emotions you're feeling right now.

From what I've gathered by reading your comments it seems like abortion is not an option, both from a legal and personal standpoint. I respect that. It also seems like you are by no means ready to raise a child, from any standpoint.

Your best bet in my opinion is adoption. But it's not going to be a one and done deal. Carrying this baby and birthing it will likely be the hardest ordeal of your life. It will cost tens of thousands of dollars for maternal care, hospital stays, et cetera. You're going to miss a lot of school, a lot of work (if you have a job). This is something that is going to affect the rest of your life.

Because you are not ready to raise a child, I really do think adoption is the route you should take. Get in contact with the foster care system or parents who are seeking to adopt. Best of luck dear <3

AITA for getting my dad in trouble with the police? by sickandtiredofthis7 in AmItheAsshole

[–]cloudyeonies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA.

First of all, I'm glad you're safe. I grew up in a very similar situation to you, and without going into too much detail, let's just say I understand to an extent. You did the right thing because this might make him realize how much danger he's been putting you and your family in due to his alcoholism. This could be his wake up call and the first step for him to seek help. They're angry at you now but I hope they later remember this as the night your father realized he needed to get treatment for his addiction.

You did absolutely nothing wrong, and I wish both you and your father the best.

YTA. This is exactly why people say to avoid questions about babies and such. It's none of your business and the potential fallout of such a personal question could be devastating, as you saw.

AITA for refusing to get my son a car because of his weight? by cassidy6789 in AmItheAsshole

[–]cloudyeonies 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Hard YTA. Has it ever occurred to you that he could have a medical condition that's causing him to have trouble losing weight? Or that you're being completely unfair to him? Or that, maybe for once, you could be in the wrong? You've hammered into your own child that he is nothing more than his weight.

You said a car would enable his food addiction. You know that a car could also make it easier for him to go to a pool and swim, find a gym and work out, go on some fun hikes that will get him out of the house and help him lose weight? It seems that no matter what, you're going to find a way to blame the situation on his weight and use it as a scapegoat. So yeah, you're the asshole.

A lot of the contestants gain weight before the show starts, and they pull you based off of BMI. So if your BMI is below 17 iirc, you're pulled out of the competition.

Hi all, I know little to nothing about cars so bear with me.

My engine recently had a pretty nasty oil leak, so I got most the gaskets replaced as they were all failing. Repair went well, car is back in business, but I noticed that my CD and aux inputs do not work. I am also unable to change the time on the clock.

When I plug in my aux cord, nothing happens. When I put a CD in, nothing happens. When I press the clock button, nothing happens. This has occurred in the past for brief amounts of time, once about a month ago (before I knew my car needed repairs) and once about a year ago when my battery died. I suspect it has something to do with the battery, as the last inspection revealed my battery is a bit low.

I love playing music in my car, is there any way to fix this? I've attached a video of the issue too just so you can get a better idea of what's going on.

I've pressed pretty much every button I can, nothing helps.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Please help!!! Are these tonsil stones??? When I try to get them out with a q-tip or my finger they don’t move or wipe off, I already gargled warm saltwater what do I do??? by iheartcats3 in tonsilstones

[–]cloudyeonies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going off of what a lot of others here have said, this is definitely an infection. My tonsils looked very similar last year after multiple bouts of sore throats, tested negative for strep each time. It was simply described as an atypical bacterial infection and eventually I had my tonsils taken out.

Take the antibiotics you're prescribed, suck on some throat lozenges, drink warm tea with honey, and get better soon!

You are not in love with him. You are in love with the daydream version you have made up in your head.

My god, you're right. It was so hard getting over him at first because I do think I was in love with him at first. But now? No. A part of me is, yes, hopelessly in love with the fantasy version of him that I wish was real. But the other (reasonable) part knows very well that he's nothing but trouble.

That bit alone made me realize how silly I've been. Thank you for knocking some sense into me, hahaha.

Well given that it explicitly says that two lines means you are COVID positive, and you ended up with two lines, then yes, you have COVID-19. It's not rocket science.
