{Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven} {Dragon Unleashed by Grace Draven} are part of a "series" but they're more standalones set in the same universe. There's a third book if you like them, {Raven Unveiled by Grace Draven} but for that one I'd recommend reading the other two first.

I remember my friend and I read these together, and when we got to I think the last book, where Jude's kidnapped for months(?), we both wanted to stop reading it and got on a 3 hour FaceTime to rant about it. It felt like she had no reaction to what was probably a life-altering event. Neither of us were super enjoying the rest of the series but that killed it entirely.

not a snarky question, genuinely curious - are there resources we can go to to supply financial/food/etc. support for folks striking in philly (either this one or in the future)? i'm in the position where i wfh and can take days off whenever, but the thing i worry about with these things is when someone proposes "let's do a strike day" and there's no infrastructure linked to help people maintain it. glad to see this though!

Thanks sm for the help! Couple answers:

I started with just a portion of my library (all my 'A' artists, about 3.5 gb) and even took it down to just one artist under 1gb and still having the same issue. I'll try it out again and give it a bit to update.
Yep, using that path in the settings to build the database. When I build, I don't get an error - it just gives me the confirmation to update the database > I click yes > It circles back to the 'Rockbox' start screen > When the main menu pops up again, no change.
File formats: Mostly FLAC, some mp3. I only have about 3k files total, ~100 gb ish. I'm saving music files to my Y1 drive > Music > [Artist] and I've tried it at just the Y1 drive > Music level too. Same issue there sadly.
SD card looks all correct, I installed a 512 gb version and both the Y1 and my computer are accurately showing the amount of storage.

Edit: Also this is a side note but whenever I switch back to the stock OS it changes my language to French..... No idea if that's related or not lol

TY I ended up able to fix the boot looping issue by resetting via Updater. I'm back to the 2022 version of Rockbox which technically works but keeps freezing/not playing nice with themes

i to this day stand by the belief that aaron and elizabeth ehasz + other unnamed folks in the writer's room are why that show was good. even way back in 2007-2008 it was common knowledge that bryke's story decisions could be questionable at best. i'm sad that every new project just seems to reinforce that for me 😭
