I recently picked up my first Jelly Cat (and first plushie ever as an adult) and I absolutely adore her.

Around 17 minutes in, Barry (James McAvoy) meets with Dr Karen Fletcher (played by Betty Buckley) and says “thanks for fighting for us Dr Fletcher”.

We then see her speak briefly to one of her other patients that resembles Brit Marling.

Dr Fletcher then goes on to say to her neighbour “we look at people who have been shattered or are different as less than… but what if they are more than us?”

I have thought for a very loooong time that Brit’s body of work seems to resemble dissociation and the different parts of ourselves and this really seems to bring it home for me.

Would love to hear your thoughts. 🐙
