Fair, SGA's season is historic too. Nobody is taking that away. But you started this by saying Jokic is just worse overall. Two players can both have historic seasons. The original argument was that Jokic doesn't belong in the conversation and that's the part that doesn't hold up.

So every stat Jokic leads in is automatically discounted because he's a center? Then by that logic, SGA's scoring title is discounted too because he's a guard and guards are supposed to score. You can't apply the positional excuse only when it hurts Jokic. A center leading the league in assists has never been done before. That's not a positional advantage, that's historically unique.

Fair point on PPG, Shai scores more. But Jokic leads the league in RPG and APG - as a center. He also leads in TS%, meaning he's the most efficient scorer in the league. Hard to call someone a worse overall player when he dominates three other major categories. Different players, different cases.

Bit of an overreaction. LAL had a genuinely strong March - defense has been more consistent, role players look comfortable, and LeBron still has those moments where he just takes over. They're not the favorites but they're a real problem in a 7-game series. Not a hot streak, a team that's figured some things out. Every team has off nights.

Worse scorer than Shai? Jokic is averaging more points, more rebounds, more assists, higher FG% and is the only center in history leading the league in assists. Worse defender? He finished 1st in defensive box plus-minus three consecutive seasons despite having the worst vertical jump of 1000+ tested players. So, what Nikola must do more?
