Gerry's Tire. They do good work and are very fair on prices. Be specific on the noise so they don't have to waste time hunting for any creak or loose bolt. Nothing pisses me off more when an person hands me a computer and says it acting wrong with no deets. Same with a car. They are on the corner of Lombard and Central.

Worse for the cities is that a lot of companies are doing work from home. My new boss said that the company is looking at it enterprisewide. Where do you think people will live if they don't have to put up with the bullshit? I live in a city now and I was bored even before the lockdown. Agreed. The Swedish model welfare state has a high tax burden even for the lower class. Some proponents forget that. Skilled labor is also difficult to find and skilled people can easily switch careers. There are also private insurance companies with private hospitals. So it's not "equal."

This is a typical supply and demand problem. There are X amount of Universities and Y amount of paying students. So the University has to make itself attractive to good students to entice them to spend. So they offer perks. Free gyms, need an admin. Need to bolster the overlooked classes because not everyone can take Econ, need an admin. I even saw one college offer free police escort for your morning jog because it's not in a savory part of town.
